Once I read on this forum that if you want to make Stellaris challenging then you have to create your own opponents as default ones which is created by the game itself is not good at all.

After many non-challenging games decided to listen this advice and create my own opponents. The result was nothing but spectacular. So far I have played 5 Campaigns and I lost all of them despite difficulty level being only Commodore. It is not only about the game becomes really challenging but also share amount of fun of the campaigns increase monumentally.

First campaign which I played ended two genocidal species (devouring swarms and fanatic purifier) eliminating all others and going at each other. Second campaign came to abrupt and early end as zealous researchers of the Confederacy of Vulcan opened L-Gates which unleashed Grey Tempest upon the Galaxy, to which no-one was ready. Third one was just from the dreams of Star wars fans as Jedi order and Sith order created massive Federations of like minded factions and started all out war for dominance. I became the victim of their lust for the Force, the last blow coming from “peace” loving Jedies. The only campaign where I manager to survive to the end crisis, the galaxy was so busy fighting each other that we had no chance to withstand the horrors from another dimension.

So I am uploading here my setup, opponent AI configurations and encourage everyone to play it. I promise you will have some fun!

I always choose United Human Federation as I can't make myself to play other species.)
