Really Amazing Update

For me, at least, 2.0 is an absolute triumph. The new tech/innovation system is an amazing way to shape your country. The transition from levies to legions is excellent and feels totally natural. This is really the first time I've felt invested in my nation and felt like I was able to have real goals beyond just blobbing.

This is not to say the update is perfect. The UI is vastly improved but there are weird gaps, For example, I can't seem to tell what my actual civilization level in a province is, and the innovations page is clunky to navigate, with the search bar making it difficult to find how to unlock buildings, among other things.

However, I think the real skeleton of the update is truly just an amazing improvement over the previous patch and one or two QoL and balance patches will make it a real 10/10.

I agree it's very enjoyable, even though I feel a bit lost and there are lots of buttons I can't find, but as I hdan't palyed for like 1 year I guess it was to be expected.

@jiroro really did an amazing job with the UI rework when you factor in she never worked on a Videogame before.

The only thing that triggers my ocd is the Gap in the Topbar, it looks like a Piece broke off and fell down and then they couldnt find it anymore to glue it back in.

The civilisation level bar is there. It's now displayed as a thin stripe over the building section, etc.

I may just have missed it, but i saw the bar and in the tooltip I could see my max civilization level and the rate of increase, but I couldn't seem to find the current civ level for that city. It wasn't a big deal but I needed it to complete a mission.
