I've seen a few posts about adding car accidents and different weather conditions affecting traffic, but I didn't see any that were too specific.

I'd love to see a DLC drop of more realistic traffic where everyday traffic accidents occur, slowing down traffic in the area. In tourist and leisure districts (also districts with "recreational use") it would make sense to have a higher frequency of these occurrences.

I also considered the crime rate/police stations. I noticed there aren't any banks in the game. It would be really cool if occasionally someone tries to rob a bank, then my thought process went on to anyone being stopped by the police. High speed chase! Next thing you know, traffic is choked up and someone is injured in the accident. I'd also like to have more control over the police: where they patrol, what they spend more time investigating...so on.

And then I thought...We need news stations and camera crews that go out looking for news. It could be really mundane from day to day, like "old woman's cat is the oldest cat in the city." But then another day comes where something really exciting happens and the news chopper comes out to record. (Like said high speed chase.)

Other than that, I like a challenge and I kind of like to micro-manage things like police and hospitals. I tend to run my random disaster rate rather high. That, I like to just happen without me being totally prepared. It makes things a little less predictable, which I enjoy. (Real life...no thanks.)

Anyway, I'm sorry if all these suggestions have already been made. I tried searching for them, but I found nothing specifically like that. Thanks for listening!

i've seen people creating their own "construction zones"

road closures are a part of everyday life. maybe they should implement them in the game...but then that would require them putting in code for the AI to create a re-route in the middle of it's journey....

the high speed chase could be added to my idea of an EVENTS DLC. (parades, grand opening ceremonies, award shows, comic cons, school field trips, new zoo animal, traveling carnivale, olympics, charity events, movie premieres, major construction events....)

Oh I like the events idea! That would put a whole new spin on the challenges of dealing with traffic.

The thing with me is that I like a constantly evolving game where difficulty level rises as you add more DLCs to it. If that makes any sense.
