Have their troops just been absolutely nerfed? I had a 4000 man planned invasion army, allied with other petty kings. Basically the Last Alliance of Markarth. Whiterun, which I was invading, sent 2800 men into the Reach. They crushed my vastly superior force. It wasn't even close. I even had 18 marshal generals. I assumed it was because I was attacking. Whatever. So I lose this war.
10 years later, Whiterun invades. I have 2800 men on a hill and am attacked by 2700. ANNIHILATION of my army.
This is insane. Aren't Reachmen supposed to be hard to fight on their own terrain in 4E 200? This is the freaking golden age of the Reach, and they get mopped up like sorry dogs.
I know some of this is likely the pitiful base combat mechanics, but maybe Reachmen generals should be far more likely to get "mountainous terrain" leader or something.
