Hello.
Each time I want to trade for a system, the AI just says "Nope" , all and each time, making me wonder "Why the hell is this freature on frist place if I can only gave them instead... it should be a freature for Multiplayer then.."
I made some diggin and found that it was disable because a Xenophobe FE exploit , as they don't like neighouring anyone within they systems.
Now things have changed, isn't time to get some trade with the systems? Like, is easy to do this:
Xenophobe FE : Declines all incoming offers for systems
Other FE: Declines incoming offers, they might acept neighbouring systems ?
AE: Acept only neighbouring systems
Regular AI: Acept in base of the relationship, if is only an outpost or citadel.
* Outpost only: They can accept trading systems.
* Starport: They are less lickly to acept
* Starhold: They need to be persuaded
* Starfortress: They will need a good excuse to accept
* Citdel: They most lickly decline.
Things could be dificult if an empire have a colony or more on the system, making harder for them to even think to buy it, unless you are on good terms and gave something of equal or more value.
If done right, it can be a way that AI could gather strengh after the loss, maybe the attacker AI would say "Want this system back? Pay this ammount and is all yours again" (I think would fit better for Despotic spoilers, they could capture systems to only ask the owners to pay a ransom).
Alas, as commonly happens , we want a system that's claimed, in case of trade fails, we could always have the option of espionage "Persuade the station" , wich would persuade the empire that holds it to acept to buyout offer we make (to a reasonable ammount by reducing the negative opinion) for that station.
Even while at it, it can be added , it can create another espionage option called "Force alligance at forgein station" , where you infiltrate the objective to force the crew to, peacefully, give you total control of the system, if done, the targeted empire will , rather, offer a sum of resources to release the station, or , threaten to war (This covert op wouldn't work on systems with colonies).
This can add lots of flavour to the games, empires buying out systems of small or big ones, events thatt can happen for new options that can be implemented, some reason to give the civic of Despotic spoilers a bit of love and taking it a step futher.
