confirmed as intentional.

I like it.

Basically you have just a second button that makes people who would play matchmaking but not ranked play ranked aswell.

I think that is great, as liquidity is crucial for the success of ranked.

It's so that the playerbase isn't segmented and as far as I'm concerned that's more than enough reason to keep it.

The problem is the noob player using quickplay for fun/practise geting paired agaist a good player searching ranked.

Well if enough people are using it noobs should be paired against other noobs.

Actually if I want to play fun match in quick play, why I must to feed some random guy from ranked with elo points when I loss, that's absurd idea.

I think every move to a single matchmaking system and single playerpool is a good one so I welcome this.

Now the only thing left to do is make Lobby Private only :)
and improve Matchmaker options of course

I like quick play in a sense that I can test new battlegroups in a competitive environment without taking the risk of spoiling my elo if it would have been ranked.

I can't imagine all the fun that I'm missing because I'm not using quickplay. The scenario of beeing paired with a noob against a stacked pro team looking for a ranked match - yeah, I really don't understand why quickplay is not popular. Eugen created literally a meatgrinder for noobs, well done.

But you don't want even to try it. Thats a problem. If the players stop using lobbies - you will never face high ranked players in 2v2 or more. You will be matched vs team or random players with more or less same skill level as yours.

I have a feeling that many players who against quick matchs just do not wanna team vs team format. Because it is so cool to play random guys with your team.

Sorry for bad english.

That cant be changed imo. Many players are just used to the lobbys since the first Wargame 5 years ago and its integrated in their gaming, hop into the game, host a lobby, invite friends and wait for the newbies to come, hope for no teams .

just imagine what freak show would be on the forums if Eugen decide to test the game wihout or with invite only Costum Lobbys, the end of the world i tell ya .-).

Does not matter much because most of the peoples who complain the most buy the game anyway. While at the same time a more modern state of the art matchmaker and the removel of pubstomp lobby simulator can give new success to the series and attract more peoples. To late to do it for this release but they should just do it with the release of the second Steel Division game.

I still belive something can be done for current SD.In those Paradox streams on explaining the introduction of QM,the guy said its the first raw version of it and changes will come..

Might be but I don't really think it affects playerbase numbers or game sales that much anymore release is done and if they do a patch in a few months its probably too late.
If they do a second Steel Division (or Expansion) their marketing pitch could be like:

This is the best Wargame game of all time and the easiest accessible.
We have listened to player feedback and improved all areas of the game.
There is a totally new and improved matchmaking which makes the multiplayer a great experience for new players and veterans alike.
Then we have the longest most immersive campaign in any Wargame ever...

If it just comes in some patch months after release I am unsure of its effect.

I don't want to. I don't like cheese, min/maxed gameplay and pubstomps. I had my fair share of ranked with the VAB spam, raining men and the abuse of centurions. I don't need to play against high ranked players and I gladly prefer it, if those people with their elitist attitude stick to themselves. I want people on my skill level and slightly above it, there's no point in providing the pubstomp for ranked players.

You will be matched vs team or random players with more or less same skill level as yours
Thats exactly what I want. I play this game for leisure reasons, not to compete. If I want to do that, I'll do that at work.

I have a feeling that many players who against quick matchs just do not wanna team vs team format.
That contradicts with the fact that most custom games are 2vs2 or above. If you mean that most players do not want competitive team vs team matches that involve the necessity to have ts, intensive deck/ map coordination and min/maxed gameplay , then you are probably right.

Well if you're using quickplay as fun mode your quickplay Elo will represent that.

even if I give 1 point to guy from ranked, what is the reason for that? I don't want to feed some other guys from rank games. And in the same way I dont want to have fight vs guy from quick match without any punishment for him for bad play. That's looks unclear and unacceptable.
