1. Mount and Blade - I just have way too many hours in playtime for this...
2. EU 4 - Probably the best Paradox only game.
3. HoI 4 - If it had more sandbox feeling (=no guaranteed WW2; Japanese/USA war and so on) it would be my no. 2
4. Stellaris - I played it for the last time before the latest patch, so maybe it changed, but in my point of view theres too much blobbing...
5. CK 2 - at the beginning it was quite interesting, but now i think it has way too much micromanagement and also some speed issues since the india expansion.

1. Vicky 2 - no explanation needed really, it's one of my favorite games ever
2. CK2 - almost limitless potential, lots of fun all around
3. EU4 - fun to play casually, but it always feels impossible to keep up with other players without constantly expanding :/
4. Cities: Skylines - it's just all around good
5. EU3 - hard to find a reason to go back to it with EU4, it's ok
6. Sengoku - the couple minutes I played it for were a good experience
7. Stellaris - the first few hours of my first play through of it were exceptional, but I quickly realised that... there's nothing to do.
8. EU: Rome - what is even happening in this one
9. March of the Eagles - it sucks, I still feel burned over having ever purchased it, but it's okay I guess
10. DH - repetitive, shallow, un-fun-- its only redeeming factor is its mods, which are great
11. HoI3 - repetitive, shallow, un-fun-- no redeeming factors

CK2 - probably the only Paradox game I got into, but what a game ! It has huge flaws, but just playing its own medieval dynasty is so awesome the flaws are easily forgettable. Could easily be far better though

Magicka - though I didn't play it much, it's the only other Paradox game I've ever finished. I played it with friends and it was quite fun. Trying to combine various elements and watch the result is so cool

Cities: Skylines - although I haven't been far in the game (my top city has roughly 5000 inhabitants, I think a bit more but around this number) so I'm only very early in the game, but I just love developping my own city. The game is really interesting.

Pillars of Eternity - the game is quite fun, but once again I never got really far in it. Isometric RPG's aren't really the ones I prefer (I'm more of an action RPG player) but the beginning was good. Should play more of it.

EU4 - I've tried to get into it, but never managed to go further than 1500 despite trying various games. It's interesting, but....I dunno, I never got into it. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea. But the overall atmosphere doesn't feel as good as CK2

Victoria 2 - SInce I have only one unfinished game of it, I can hardly rank it higher than EU4. I don't think I've grasped all of the mechanics on the first try, but the game does look interesting and complex. In my case it mostly suffers from both the lack of a Linux port and from my general current disinterest for grand strategy games. Probably the game I'd like to play more, more so than EU4.

Hearts of Iron 3 - never got into it. Tried a bit. Like Vicky 2 the lack of a Linux port doesn't help in my case.

1. Ck2- By far the best paradox game ever made, ever. There have been many games that have tried to blend rpgs and strategy games. But i can't think of one that did it as well as this game. It's only gotten better over time. (For the most part, some changes i do like, like the change to education.) Apart from conclave, being the only bad dlc, ever other one is worth buying. Also they're so many good mods like the warhammer mod or GoT mod that add a lot more replay value to a game with a ton to start with.
2. Victoria 2-This is the second best paradox game, ever. This has the best piece time mechanics in any paradox game. As well as the best economic mechanics. This is probably one of the few paradox games were playing tall isn't only possible but encouraged.
3. Darkest hour/hoi2 I'm putting these two in on number 3 because darkest hour was originally a mod for hoi2. Hoi 2 was my first paradox game and to this day i say it's the best in the hoi series. Period. Kaiserreich for darkest hour is one of the best mods ever, adds so much replay value to such an old game. I just love the all out war of ww2
4. Eu4-One thing i love about this game is that you can take any nation and turn it into a colonial superpower. Everything from a nation in central africa to taking a native American trib into a modern nation and fight back the European scum. A lot of fun and a lot of repaly value. It's only gotten better over time and i love the detection this game is going. Better then eu3 in ever way. (By the way, people complain about monarch points, but honestly diplomats, colonialists and the like are worse. They're either too hard to get early on or useless later on. I feel like people need to take off the nostalgia glass when talking about this game.)
5. Mount and Balde, it's mount and blade. You ride around on a horse, lead a army of dudes around and kill things. Also building your own kingdom is fun too.
6. Stellaris- This game wasn't very good at launch, but after only a few patches and one dlc this game is pretty awesome. I love the detection this game is going, i can only imagine how good it will be a year for now. I'm a space nerd so this is in my ballpark.
7. Magica- Great fun playing with other people, great magic system, funny, just overall good game.

Other games.
Hoi4- This game is meh, it's not bad there's a lot i like about it, it's just really broken atm.
Eu3- Honestly it's not bad, mind you i'm play with the d&t mod. But a lot of the problems people bitch about with eu4 still exist in eu3. Stupid currency mechanics with missionarys, diplomats, ect. Gammy expansion mechanics involving marriages that let you PU anyone you want because they is no relationship limit. Not to say it's bad, just eu4 is better in everyway.

1. CK2. There's just so much to do in it. So many playstyles, goals, etc. I can't imagine getting permanently tired of it - and I haven't even explored the mods yet.

2. Victoria 2. My field of study is International Relations, and Victoria 2 played a role in fostering my interest in that. The economic and diplomatic aspects are so fleshed out compared to the other games. The only problem I have with it is that economy isn't quite perfect, and its little quirks can become too apparent after a while.

3. Darkest Hour. I played HoI2 as a kid, it was my first Paradox game (I think my first post here is about it circa 2009). My mind was blown when I discovered Darkest Hour. It's a combination of my nostalgia for HoI2 and vast improvements, especially to combat.

4. Mount & Blade Warband. The vanilla gameplay does get old after a while, but it's a true sandbox RPG. I'm not a big fan of main questlines the way Skyrim et al. do it.

5. Europa Universalis 3. I've played two very fun campaigns - one as England conquering the New World, and one was Vijayanagar forming Hindustan. Every attempt aside from those two fails. I always start to have fun, only for some random country to declare war on me and end it all. There should be warning signs but there is usually no indication that a country is gearing up for war. Maybe EU4 fixes that problem, I haven't picked it up yet. Also, inflation is dumb and the personal union system is bizarre.

6. March of the Eagles and Sengoku. They were both just so unfinished. I wish Paradox supported them more, even if not as much as their main games.

No rating: Hearts of Iron 3. Still haven't got into it. At this point I can't decide whether to pick up Their Finest Hour and finally give it a shot, or to wait until HoI4 goes on sale and start with it.

I'll only rate games developed internally, otherwise the list would be far too large.

1. Hearts of Iron II
Pretty much the perfect game regarding warfare. The scale and involvement was just right, opposed to HoI3.

2. Crusader Kings II
Not perfect and with quite some annoyances for someone like me, who tries to MinMax, which cost the game some potential fun. But I still love it so much.

3. Europa Universalis III
Imho the best EU. Certainly, there's still a lot of potential for improvement. Yet many of its features don't feel so "enforced", as in EU4.

4. Europa Universalis IV
Seriously great mechanics, bundled with seriously pointless mechanics.

5. Victoria II
Could have been the best game. But some fundamental flaws and bugs.

6. Stellaris
Only played shortly after release and thus my rating. I expect it to end somewhere between EU3 and EU4 later.

7. Crusader Kings
There is no game where I did mind broken mechanisms less than in CK. Super dynasty ftw!

8. Europa Universalis II
First love affair with Paradox.

9. Hearts of Iron III
Considering how much I loved HoI2, there has been no bigger disappointment to me. Where in HoI2 my ideas and strategies managed to make Canada triumph over Germany, I always felt like a semi-passive guest in HoI3. It was so frustrating that I hesitate till this day to purchase HoI4.

10. Sengoku
Nice setting, difficult to get into, not much support from PDX to deepen the experience.

11. Europa Universalis: Rome
Could have been so much more.

12. March of the Eagles
Wtf.

1. EU 3 In Nomine...my first paradox game, got it the month it came out. i like to play as Mecklenberg alot and in nomine's mecklenberg gets Lubeck for some reason and its OP as shit...hell Mecklenberg probably economically beats venice and is one of the easiest to play.
2. Victoria 2- wonderful era of history with an amazing game, good interface, it might be technically better then EU3 but the reason its not number 1 for me is because some aspects are over simplifed and the economics and diplomacy does infact suck compared to europa universalis 3 and 4. i just feel EU3 is more in depth and feels more "correct" though EU3 has its share of inaccuracies(like lubeck belonging to mecklenburg).also i have more nostalgia from EU3 and im a master at EU3
3.Hearts of Iron 3- kinda weird interface but i love the ww2 era, micro managing ever aspect of your military is fun and annoying at same time, but its so damn in depth its a ww2 history buffs opium fueled wet dream with ectasy on top...basically saying its absofuckinglutly perfect as a ww2 game...but i like the medival to the end of ww1 era more.
4.EU 4.... im gonna be burned at the stake for this, but i dont care too much for EU4. the interface is annoying for me cause of my EU3 mindset(most of you EU4 fans dont have to worry about being mentally wired to EU3's interface cause yall never played eu3) EU4 changes so much through updates that every time i get used to it they change it.(does anyone have any suggestions or any guide on how to play mecklenburg in EU4?)but ya EU4 and the new Crusader kings are fucked with so much i refuse to play crusader kings, but i continue to try to get into EU4. I mean what does EU4 have that i dont already have in EU3? and yes i own EU4 and have some basic experience playing it.not as much as id like though

5. havent played enough crusader kings, Hearts of iron 4 to have a solid opinion.

1. CK2 - To me, one of the masterpieces of the gaming industry. There's no medieval/fantasy setting you can't mod in with these game mechanics. I already know i will play this at least as long as i did with Medieval 2 TW, unless there is a CK3 before that.
2. EU3 - My first Paradox game, i have no idea how i haven't heard of them before (like EU2), as its basically a board game i designed in my youth (just much more complex and better).
3. Cities Skyline - Bought it to kill SimCity, stayed because apparently i love to manage traffic as efficiently as possible. Best of its genre for a long way back.
4. Mount and Blade - Too much sandbox to me, but otherwise i liked it. Not enough to get others or the main game (i have fire and sword) tough.
5. EU4 - Maybe i played too much EU3 (i did), but after the initial release i lost interest. Haven't played since the first expansion killed my then ongoing Russia campaign until recently.
6. Stellaris - I don't know, just really dissapointed with this. Way too high expectations mostly, thought it would be Distant Worlds in Paradox. It's the only Paradox published game i own where i can say (some of) the competition is better.
