Then encircle what ever the bloody hell they have..

But great update, It looks like you have broken their backs, I won't be longer to realize that being Dutch is awesome. :p

I nearly have. The surrender progress bar is already half way but their national unity is high, around 75+

We're near the Capital!

ran40.png

ON September 24th, the 1st Dutch Armored and the 2nd Dutch Infantry began their assault onto the South Tyrol-Trentino province of Dhrangadhra. Under the command of Mj General Russell Torgerson, these two brave Dutch divisions fought against Mj. General Sydney Fonville and his slightly disorganized infantry division. The battle would rage for 6 days, but our forces eventually came on top of their obstacles.

ran41.png
The general plan for the October Offensive by the 2nd of October. The 1st Dutch Armored will race towards the province of Vadodara, bordering the South Tyrol-Trentino capital. Secondly, the 1st Dutch Infantry and Militia will advance from the north and try to encircle STT troops while the 2nd Dutch Infantry and the HQ brigade turn southward.

ran42.png
Near October 4th, before the October Offensive could be organized, enemy forces appeared in the northern province of Himatnagar, resulting in the deployment of all IDA forces in the region except the HQ brigade. The counter-attack would fail and IDA troops would occupy the region by the 10th of October.

ran43.png
Both the 1st Dutch Armored and the 2nd Dutch Infantry began their attacks onto the province of Vadodara on October 22. Both IDA divisions faced an enemy that was ill-prepared and was weaken in manpower which would result in IDA victory by 4pm on the 26th of October.

ran44.png
After a string of victories along the costal regions of South Tyrol-Trentino, the vanguard of the IDA, the 1st Dutch Armored arrived in the province of Vadodara by Ocotober 31st. Upon arriving, the STT troops of the HQ brigade led by Antony Dawkins led a suicidal attack that ended in filure.

now all you have left to do is send in Torgersen (who I think is the only person to have a actual Dutch sounding name in the game:D) and his Armoured Divisions into the capital, and then the Tyrolense people will realize that they are truly Dutch. :p

Go Torgersen! :D

But approaching the capital is gonna be hard, there are around 3-5 divisions coming from the south and almost 5-7 divisions east of my position that are nearly encircled.

Once that war is won, I might have to decorate the 1st Dutch Armored commanded by Torgensen :D

2 Divisions Away...

ran45.png

Having around 2 weeks to rest, Major General Torgerson's Armored division was again attack on November 15, but this time with force. Commanded by STT Mj. General Joey Bracamonte, 2 South Tyrol-Trentino Infantry divisions attacked the already weakened Dutch Armored. The 2nd Dutch Infantry was moving towards Valadora but once the attack start, they double timed their movement.

ran46.png
3 hours before November 17th, the 2nd Infantry was able to reach the besieged 1st Armored and gave them a need reinforcement. Even though the 1st Armored suffered nearly 50% causalities, this division still fought on, extremely organization in their attempt to protect the rightful land of the Dutch. The attackers offensive began to falter as both the 1st and 2nd repelled a number of attacks.

ran47.png
The attackers eventually called off their assault on the 24th of November and began to retreat. Though they suffered around 1,000+ dead, the STT high command decided that It wasn't worth it. Whist, the Dutch forces suffered 1600+ killed, 3/4 of them from the 1st Dutch Armored. The solders of the 1st DA have become a sort of legend to the rest of the IDA forces, losing almost 50% of their forces they held steadfast against the repeated offensives by the STT forces.

ran48.png
Meanwhile, to the north IDA forces began to attack an encircled STT division in the mountains of Banswara. Led by Major General Shon Harbert, commander of the Dutch Militia force ans assisted by the 1st Dutch Division, they laid siege towards the defenses.

ran49.png
Assaulting the mountain defenses for 5 days, the STT forces finally gave up. Instead of surrendering to Dutch forces, they escaped into the neighboring nation. (Forgot the name, sry:p) The Dutch forces suffered 382 dead while the STT troops loss 379.

Bharuch Falls!

ran50.png

With success towards the encircled Eastern region of South Tyrol-Trentino, Field Marshal Goin decided it was the perfect time to launch an offensive onto the nearly defenseless STT capital of Bharuch. Dutch bombers were called on for the first time during the war and began to attack strategic positions around the capital. With bombing raids for almost 2 weeks, Marshal Goin with the weakened 1st Armored and the fully strength 2nd Infantry attacked the single weakened STT infantry division commanded by Mj. General Bracamonte on the 10th of December.

ran51.png
By the 13th of December, Mj. General Bracamonte was forced to retreat from the capital as the tanks of the understrength 1st Dutch Armored, now known as the Verlichting Soldaten by both STT and IDA troops. Even suffering 50% causalities during their last attack, the 1st was able to be the first IDA troops to enter the former STT capital and raise the Imperial Flag over the city. By the end, the attack cost the lives of 954 Dutch soldiers while the South Tyrol-Trentino's suffered 1276 dead.

ran52.png
Even though the capital was bombed for the past two weeks, the infrastructure and some important area's such as the port and factories remain intact. We were able to acquire a lvl 8 airfield, which will be a great asset when we expand our airforce.

ran53.png
The STT government is at an 80%+ surrender rate. With much of the country's important areas taken, they retreated south and established a temporary capital.

ran54.png
A list of nations that join one of the three major alliances. Currently, the faction led by Yemen has the most nations in it.

ran55.png
Giving the 1st Armored a chance to rest, the 2nd Infantry commanded by Mj General Fretwell moved south and was able to cut supplies to STT troops caught in Surat. Fretwell immediately launched an attack to destroy the encircled division commanded by Marshal Dawkins.

nice series of updates. How long will it take for them to surrender. By the way will you be joining Mooroco's Axis, or be going lone wolf, I think you are going to need some friends if you are going to take on Tanna Tuva. Also Demorcatic North Korea, and Communist China . By the way did Canada make it into the game, if so where?

I'm gonna try to join the Axis. Might later leave to backstab them :D

Also, Canada is located in Greece, so all of Greece (1936) without some of its Western parts.

What neutrality settings did you choose, I always found especially with the factions turned on and all the alliances that pop up that within a couple of months theres an insanely complicated global war going on.

Situation Overview

ran56.png

The Continuation of the Invasion of South Tyrol-Trentino. Showing the troop movements after the destruction of the Destruction of Marshal Dawkins forces trapped in Surat. As well, the IDA high command has requested that the 1st Militia be sent over to continue with the advance while the 1st Infantry will be stationed towards the East, preventing STT troops in Bolivia to advance back into their land.

ran57.png
Now an actual overview of all the occupied territories that Holland has reclaimed. Most of Northern South Tyrol-Trentino is under Dutch command, as is the former capital. Once IDA forces begin their march towards the secondary capital, it is suspected that STT troops will surrender to Dutch forces.

Nano Tech - As do I, seeing nations ending up in the most ironic places are always a laugh.

Quacky - I forgot but the highest I saw was around 42% while the lowest is 3-4%

Helepolis - Here's your overview :D

Ending of the battle of Surat

ran58.png

On the 22nd of December, the commander of the 9th South Tyrol-Trentino Infantry Division requested a ceasefire between his division and the 2nd Dutch Infantry. Major General Fretwell accepted the surrender by Colonel Arthur Dubburry, the de facto commander of the 9th and the previous commander, Major General Eric Slotu was hanged when he asked Marshal Dawkins for a ceasefire. With the majority of the forces in surrender, the Marshal's HQ and its members became a fanatical force, fighting for the Marshal. Also noted, the Colonel and the 9th we sent back to Dutch processing camps, their gear intact and with them. The Colonel's decision would play a major part in the post-war era.

ran59.png
On the 25th of December, the 2nd Dutch Infantry started to storm the building which housed the Marshal and around 100 of his most fanatical guards. Those guards were nick-named by Dutch troops are "Dawkin's Dimwits". The storming of the Marshal's HQ would become a bloody corridor to corridor fighting with brutal hand-to-hand combat.

ran60.png
The building where Marshal Dawkin commanded from was offically secured on the 25th of December at 1600, just 4 hours after its storming. The offical death toll for the Dutch forces was greater than the fanatics in the building/bunker. The Dutch loss 381, most of them during the last 4 hours while the STT forces, most those fanatics suffered 260 dead.
