Delete the line 'event = "db\events\LiberalRevolution.txt' from the generated scenario file random.eug.

If you wish, you can also install OHGamer's hotfixes for vanilla Victoria, the download link for those is in his signature. This will also solve your problem.

I try to run the program but it won't start and the Victoria folder goes "No Responding"
What exactly did you do? As far as I know, the program works perfectly if you put it in the right folder.

Just want to report that this does NOT work for VIP for V:R, at least not the latest version. When I try to load the scenario it gives the error message [type = 6 / ID =15000 already exists] and freezes :( But when I uninstalled without VIP it worked fine, and was quite fun to play :D

Any idea how to fix this?

Hmm, interesting, I tried another scenario and it gave me errors for the finnish leader at line 344, so I deleted that general, but then it gave me an error for the same line and a different general, and it gave me an error on THAT general, so I decided to delete the entire fin leader file.

Also, the id = 15000 error was from the Dom leaders and Swe leaders sharing leader IDs, I fixxed that too!.

:( Unfortunately it didn't stop the freezes, I have no idea what is wrong and it doesn't even give me errors anymore.

Also all the other scenarios work so its not my game.

edit: EXTREMELY interesting, I took an old RickRand save I made before I installed VIP and tried that, and it worked! No idea what the crap is going on.

I made a new version. It took me some time but I like the results.

New features:
This version was completely written from scratch, so everything will work a little different (and better)
Most notable new features are:
- You can set the number of cultures in the world, and cultures are more realistically spread and mixed.
- Nations can now have a navy at the start of the game
- Nations can have a number of bonusses and malusses, giving them advantages or disadvantages in certain areas.
- Technology, reforms and political parties are now randomized
- Factories make sense: you won't get a steel factory without iron, no luxury furniture factory without furniture, etc.
- I included some random events giving you claims to a bordering province, owned province or province bordering your claims, but I'm not sure if they work correctly.
- You can choose to give nations different colors on the political map, so that it is less likely that two nations with the same color border each other

Most excellent

A lot of "user defined" countries. Will this be reduced by lowering the number of countries generated?

Seems to fail when I try to make a scenario without random parties.

Thanks! Should be fixed now.

What do you mean? Do you see countries called "user defined" in the generated scenario? That should not happen, because the generator reads from country.csv what countries are available.

The locator pic (on the country select) seems to point to the wrong country for some of them. Works fine for others, though. I think it's the user defined tags that do this.

Any way of fixing this? I was (un-)pleasantly surprised to find Commie China was not in South India and Sri Lanka, but rather in Venezuela. :(

Really nice update, but I have a few suggestions/pipe dreams.

First off, would it be possible to get back the 'amount of claims' option? Same with 'amount of factories', and would it also be possible to have a 'group factories near eachother' button so that you can have one area(Like mainland Europe in real life) be extremely well industrialized while other areas are sparser.

Secondly, could you add in a 'Bonus Strength' slid? I don't really like how much more industrialized nations who get the 'Industrial Bonus' are, or how far ahead tech wise nations who get the 'Tech Bonus' are, but I know some people probably like that so I don't want them just weakened.

Thirdly, whats up with this? My ammo factory isn't producing anything even though it is running, I checked in vanilla and ammo factories work fine there so I don't.

Last but not least, this is a really cool mod/program, just showing you my support :d

Yes I know that the locator pic is sometimes incorrect. I'll look in to it one of these days.

1. Ok, I will add amount of claims & factories. The group factories option would be a bit harder, though. I'll probably add this later.
2. Yes, I plan on bonusses/malusses effects to be moddable. In the meantime, you could disable bonusses/malusses you don't like.
3. Check that you have enough convoys running (you can get to the convoy screen via the button left of the crown, and then the convoy button). If you haven't, you need to import clipper convoy (you will only have to do this once, though).

Tried reducing # of countries, random ones still appear as "User Defined", such as the USA and Britain are being lumped into this category. Doesn't seem to follow rhyme or reason. I'm afraid to play this until this is resolved - can you imagine "User Defined has declared WAR on us!" (which User Defined???) or "User Defined has declared war on User Defined!" :p

No I can understand that that would be a little too weird to play :).

So let me get this straight: USA and Britain are called "user defined" in your scenario (I presume that you infer that they are USA/Britain by their flags)?

Are you playing a mod? The file that contains country names, world_names.csv, is not edited by rickrand, so there could be something wrong with your world_names.csv. But this would mean that in your vanilla GC, GB and USA are also called "user defined".

Can you maybe upload a generated scenario in which this happens? Or your country.csv & world_names.csv?

Are you playing a mod? The file that contains country names, world_names.csv, is not edited by rickrand, so there could be something wrong with your world_names.csv. But this would mean that in your vanilla GC, GB and USA are also called "user defined".

Can you maybe upload a generated scenario in which this happens? Or your country.csv & world_names.csv?

The User Defined countries change from game to game. I am playing V:R with OHGamers hotfixes just like you instructed on page 1. No mods. Fresh install as of yesterday from GGate. I'll try and get a screenshot and text file copied here when I get home.
