Since the standard map has undergone some substantial enhancement, with many new provinces added throughout the world, it strikes me as odd that the Random New World feature wasn't updated to include the added provinces.

NA/CA/SA and Caribbean now have over 660 provinces, while a typical RNW map just has a little over 300. In addition to the various bugs and issues that have been reported over time, the colonizing experience is radically different from the standard map. I would like to see the RNW updated to include these additional provinces, as a paid for DLC feature it should at least be updated to match a free patch to the base game.

While the devs are at it, I would also like to see the rather arbitrary Y cutoff of 300 removed and changed to 75 or so. SA extends far further south than that coordinate, it doesn't make much sense that a RNW never can. If others have any additional ideas beyond bugs (missing trade goods, etc.), let the devs know here.

Continuing my initial thought, what was added were all of the additional Native countries, which has had the consequence of exacerbating the already crowded New World problem. The additional provinces are needed to prevent such clumping, and to prevent the entirety of the Random New World from being colonized by 1750, which simply shouldn't be possible in such a short period of time.

Other points of possible improvement to consider:

* Less smoothing of the coastlines and an improved Noise Map, to assist the RNW to appear similar in quality to the rest of the map.
* Reduce the max size of individual land provinces. I've seen single provinces that appear to be as large as France.
* Add wasteland to non-coastal land provinces in the extreme north. I believe only desert regions currently produce wasteland provinces. Also consider some wasteland provinces in large sections of rainforest, or largely mountainous areas, even if the wasteland occupies a rather small land area.
* Fine tune the recognition of terrain created. Many times a province will be covered entirely with jungle or forest, but the province is considered desert. Land locked provinces being classified as coastline terrain, without so much as a river running through it.
* Artificially generate small island chains during generation, all being classified as a single province or two.
* Add the ability to recognize and place straits when land provinces are only narrowly separated by water.

I'm sure there are more things to add, but this is what I can think of off the top of my head that would improve the CoP experience.
