I played the game quite a few times at a friend's house before buying it myself a couple weeks ago. One of my favorite parts was the "OH ISH" moments when the world would belch spawn points all over the place. There was a notification of it in your turn messages "Rogue populations have boomed across the world" or something similar, and bang, there were neutral Rogue Guilds scattered throughout your empire. When it was Ogres or Treewardens, it could really cause some panic. In the 50 or so hours I've put in since buying it, I haven't seen this once. Was this disabled in a patch? I also moved up to Impossible, so maybe it's just the lower difficulties? That wouldn't make much sense, but it's the only thing I'm doing differently.

I have played the game since it was first released and spawn points of all types throughout a map have always been a feature of the game. I have never seen the turn messages that you say you have. Perhaps this may have been in the beta version?

Im pretty sure that you must be thinking of some other game. I do not remember ever seeing confirmation of spawn points regenerated throughout the map. Im pretty sure of this.

Nah, it was definitely this game, it's the only one of it's type I've played in a long time, and I really liked the feature. It was also nice because my units that were keeping watch/sleeping in inactive areas of the empire would occasionally got some XP.

My bud said the one I was playing was Beta. Makes sense, since when the Koatl DLC was announced I was puzzled because I had already played with em.

In the 85 hours Steam says I've played Warlock I haven't seen it happen once. It must be a beta feature. I like it though, it keeps you from getting complacent around areas you've already cleared of wild beasts. It's similar to the idea I had that creatures that have had their nests looted may flee and make a new nest elsewhere in the world, which would make them much harder to exterminate completely.
