With the last two DLCs I have noticed a trend towards a higher chance of dying from various events.
While I think random death is an important feature in a game of inheritance, it seems that the dial has been turned up a bit too high.
The last 4 games ive played all had problems with random deaths.
1. Played as venice. Started out with 3 adult men, they all died within ~10 years, leaving me with one 5 year old boy.
2. Restarted my venice game, and all but one of my adult men died.
3. Played multiplayer game. Fellow player died 5 years in and was childless.
4. We restarted and within two years my ruler died and I had a regency for 10 years. Then my new ruler dies and I was in another regency for 5 years. I was bored.
Im currently playing another remake with venice, and family members are again randomly dying left and right. Now I understand that it is likely im just having a bad luck streak. But at some point I feel it might be a balance issue.
