I believe that they are going to put in the new map in a free patch, so even if you don't want India and more Central Asia, you're going to get it regardless.
We don't really know that at this point.

Except it wasn't Johan and it was a over year after the Muslim DLC. That's how much it mattered.I understand your concern about the poor neglected non-Christians, but you chose a poor example. Surely you've noticed how long and often people have complained about Decadence; the complaints only stopped/slowed when Johan said they were working on fixing it.
Is the title of this thread: your opinions on other forumites? Is it in the Off Topic forum? Because if it's not then it's trolling and you just keep trolling and I just keep feeding the troll.I don't need to read what I already know. Perhaps you should Google "tellin' it like it is" instead before you post.
Unacceptable? Ha! He already yielded the argument; he merely pointed out what you presented yourself to be.
That's a gap in your learning, not the history.History is my strong subject, I have a First Class BA Honours in the subject ... and still know bugger all about pre-colonial India lol.
You've never heard of the Samanids? They're right there on the map in the 867 start? Or the Khwarezmids in the 1200s, who were a huge player in the rise of the Mongols? Both had a ton of territory extending off the current map, and were formerly part of the Seleucids that split off from Alexander.Alexander the Great? That's sometime B.C lol the earliest this game starts is the 800's AD. Like I said, I never read anything involving the CK2 period that mentioned India lol.
Yes, really.Really? The Historians? Really?
Because it's variety aka the spice of life, and it makes a lot of sense for those who don't just like "Crusader" feudalism, especially since it's a concept introduced in SE Asia. But still, in terms of this game, and how it plays ... this is a weird DLC decision that I do not like and still cannot understand why people who enjoy CK2 base would then jump to wanting this.
Yeah, but that all cuts into EUIV ... doesn't it? Mughals and all?
Dissapointing...
So much wrong with the current game, (small things as bugs, hordes, cadet branches, balancing and bigger things as the HRE) I find it bizarre to invent a whole new part of the game, that has ZERO to do with Crusader Kings... I would have been happy if they had used some time on building a more interesting game with economics and trade, currently missing!
Why not just make a new game playing in Asia?
I wonder when Times of India will find out about this and put it on their NRI section...
The comments section will be *interesting*, to say the least.

And what does Japan had to do with Europa Universalis?
And a new game wouldn't sell well. They tried it with Sengoku.
Interesting? More like utterly irritating...Times of India is always an interesting read, Australia never seems to feature well in it though.![]()
Ehh, that Europeans actually KNEW about it?
Did you not notice that half the Indian nations at EUIV's start are Muslim? These things didn't happen overnight...
I may be wrong, but I do recall prior to the release of SoA it was Johan who said Decadence was going to be fixed. We were complaining about Decadence (as usual) and how SoA is the perfect opportunity to fix/overhaul Decadence, to which Johan said they were working on Decadence but couldn't squeeze it into SoA due to time constraint.Except it wasn't Johan...
PDS didn't fix Decadence all this time most likely because they still (foolishly) considered it WAD. The frequent, continuous, and extensive complaints on this forum over the year eventually gave them enough incentive to revisit the system....and it was a over year after the Muslim DLC. That's how much it mattered.
The subcontinent is mostly under Muslim rule though.I think it all happened on a Tuesday.
But, nah ... half of India's not Muslim by 1444 start. Less than a third of cored Hindustan is actually ... based on looking at the religion mapmode just now. Hard researcher, me.

You recall wrong: it was one of the actual CK devs (Johan does not work on this game). Which, admittedly, makes this information more reliable.I may be wrong, but I do recall prior to the release of SoA it was Johan who said Decadence was going to be fixed. I gess all we can do is agree to disagree on what their reasons were. I find it hard to believe that they were in such deep denial and believe it was negligence. You believe otherwise. That's all. But the fix still isn't here yet, months after the post about the fix.PDS didn't fix Decadence all this time most likely because they still (foolishly) considered it WAD.
