Basically, I just would like to see us see more vehicles in combat which can keep us from getting complacent on seeing them on the field. More importantly, I want to see us start to fear the unknown vehicle blips because of what might be behind them.
Bring us the AC/2 and Laser Carrier models for what the LRM/SRM carriers were, as basically engineers said "let's shove weapons on this thing until we run out of room". Five AC/2s and eight Medium Lasers, respectively. Because let's see more people get nervous over what that "Unknown Vehicle 60t" can be.
Bring out the "Partisan", a tank built for anti-aircraft but can have four AC/5s or five AC/2s and fish for 'Mechs all day long almost.
Show us the "Hetzer" in all it's cheap wheel-bound AC/20 glory, and remind us sometimes Quickscell can make something decently dangerous.
Bring us the "Behemoth", the hundred-ton beast of a tank which has more armor than an Atlas and moves about as fast. The thing you go "please met me crit the ammo" because tearing through all that armor is just not feasible in the time you have. The thing which engages well at almost any range, should you feel like closing in on it. That which makes you see "Unknown Vehicle 100t" and wonder if it's worth taking it out.
And the instant hover movement gets solved, deliver unto us the trinity of combat hovercraft:
The "Scimitar", a cheap and effective way of scouting around with an AC/5 and enough armor to not sublimate if a 'Mech looks in its general direction. But only just.
The "Saracen", a missile boat which mixes it up by covering its LRM 10 launcher with three SRM 2 launchers for those who want to try closing in on it.
The "Saladin", or "I can put an AC/20 on any flank I want in one round, unless you Sensor Lock and fry me before then" hovercraft.
