Should I feel bad because I think this is funny?

As for the game itself the game could have some bonus for PU if countries are of same cultural group, truth be said I don´t like the wedding thingy too much. The BI also isn´t very transparent, in my game Castille inherited them (Bavaria was a pathetic emperor with 0 authority, makes me wonder if I could inherit Burgundy somehow in those situations). When you have to look event files to understand stuff something is wrong.

Flavor events are silly, they should't be removed, but instead turned into more generic like English Civil War event could have resulted a lot thinks and it could have happened to other countries.

Some historical rail roading is nice actually. It helps the Ai make some decisions, and the player will get some flavor events out of it.

In my 2 AoW playthroughs and several other expansion ones before that, Iberian Wedding & Burgundy Inheritance fired very rarely... like 1 out of 10 games (not precisely). You can just start a new game and try your lucky again, instead of complaining for no reason whatsoever, the events are completely fair and logical.

How about more historical events? Like it was said earlier Brittany and France did unite through a PU. And how about abit more amicability between the Reformed and Protestants. A simple misguided heretics modifier would be in my opinion reasonable. They both throw away the shackles of the pope in the end. There was a personal union between reformed Netherlands and protestant Great Britain under William and Mary.

I think the Iberian wedding event should be changed to a more generic event that can happen if two neighbouring countries has a male and female ruler respectivly, maybe also a royal marriage, considering it happened to France and Brittany too.

The situation is somewhat different there. That was more of annexing a vassal than a true personal union.

(France put down a military challenge from Brittany and got the Duke to grant the King of France veto-power over who his daughter married. When he tried to violate this agreement and marry her to someone strong enough to guarantee Brittany's independence, France intervened again, and ended up marrying her directly into the royal line - not once, but twice! (The first marriage had no children when the husband died). So really, France already had reduced Brittany to vassalage, however uppity they were, and achieving legal authority over Brittany (and thus integration - Brittany did not continue as a separate crown) was done by marriage (jure uxoris). Personal Unions in the game usually represent less direct inheritance of power where the main line of a dynasty has died off and the ruler of another country is on a cadet branch, and situations where the two crowns were held simultaneously afterwards.)

It's worth noting that, historically, England technically spent (save for the English Civil War) the entire game from 1603 onwards as, in game terms, the subject nation in a personal union. :p

Nah, the Acts of Union in 1707 integrated them with Scotland as Great Britain. So they only spent ~100 years in a personal union. (And there was some crazy interregnums during that hundred years in which there really wasn't a personal union in effect, but that's well beyond the game's ability to model.)

OK... BUT THE ONLY two FLAVOR (more or less based on the logic of other people in this thread) events IN EU4 are iberian wedding and BI!!!!

That's not really true. All of the European majors get dynamic historical events (Time of Troubles for Russia, War of the Roses for England, etc), and there are even some for more minor powers now. It would be great if more nations got some dynamic event chains, but it's obviously a lot of work and I don't think it's a high priority area.

I'm aware of the Acts of Union, but I'm counting England-post-Union as "England" purely for the purposes of this exercise, given that Great Britain also (in EUIV terms) was technically under a Hanoverian PU from 1714 until 1837.
