Self explanatory. You should be able to upgrade roads to rail, rail to roads, so we don't experience that "centipede" tie up.

Yes. Playstation 5. The console version isn't too far off from PC other than visuals and mods. And in addition I'm playing the PlayStation 4 version. If there was a next gen upgrade, those other assets could be added I'm sure.

The game on the consoles is a port of the game, for which the Publishers (Paradox) commissioned the company Tantalus. Modifications from the workshop are not directly from the game developer (Colossal Order) or publisher.

However, there is an editor in the PC version. This also makes it possible to adapt buildings or, as asked here, roundabouts for rails.
(Unfortunately I do not know whether there is an editor on the consoles at all) There are also many such assets in the Steam workshop and should not be confused with mods.

The following post could provide additional information on the situation.
Yes, essentially Sony's restrictions make it impossible. Tantalus tried for years then just gave up.

Note that there are no mods as such on Xbox either, only custom assets. Altering gameplay is not possible on any console.

Wow. Well that's just about the biggest bummer I've heard all year about console City Skylines. The fact that Sony is blocking the ability to use our imagination on a simulation game? There is money to be made here. It's a shame I spent money not knowing I would be limited in the future. I plan to write Sony myself about this, just off principle.

I found out an email address, but I hesitate on the way I want to present my issue.
There are simple things like building styles that haven't trickled down from PC yet, so let's say I get Sony to admit they were wrong for blocking assets from console, I'm not sure Paradox want anything changed.
I want to help, but I don't want to do too much either.

You won't be the last person to have a bone to pick with Sony over modding in games! When mods launched for console Fallout 4 and Skyrim the community went nuts when the Sony consoles couldn't get a fraction of what PC and Xbox got. I'm sure many angry emails were sent. It's annoying but i can't see Sony ever changing their policy on external 3rd party assets and mods being used, you can only use what's physically in game and that's it iirc so your stuck with only being able to create mods and assets using the vanilla props to comply with their T&Cs
