raids and kinghood

I have two questions. First when I build improvments in my village and it gets successfully raided do I lose the improvments? What if the improvment was still building do I lose all progress.

Second is it possable to take over a kingdom? Or do I ave to declare my own kingdom and fight them?

I just noticed there is a new patch will I be able to use my saved games with it?

Village improvements are not destroyed by raids, nor are improvements being constructed affected by raids.
You can not take over an existing faction. You can support the rival claimant but then he becomes king not you.
And, yes Taleworlds says new patches are save game compatible.
