As Germany, I've been playing a self-made campaign where I've tried to keep the game as historically accurate as possible, from 1936 to now [late 1940]. My questions involve tweaking the strategic bombing AI of the RAF, which at this time was beginning its first area bombing campaigns in WWII.

I've analyzed the AI files [air_marshal, mostly] and have understood how to tweak the 'desirability' ratios to give the RAF greater incentive for logistical and strategic attacks, but my first question involves the variable of 'rangeweight' in the 'taskforce' setup, which is usually defaulted to a value of 10.000 - how does altering this value affect the range of the taskforce mission? Does a greater value mean long-range targets will be considered, and what is the affect of decreasing it? If possible, it would be great to have the AI actually commit deep raids into Germany proper, rather than the usual nuisance raids along the Channel coast.

Similarly, is there also a way to set a series of preferred targets for an airforce? I know this is possible with province_priorities for the land AI, but whether or not this method can be also be manually set for the air AI or if it is hardcoded I've been unable to discern.

Lastly, I know in older versions of HoI2, 'air_marshal' used to be 'bomber' - 'bomber' being the AI variable I've found that included settings such as 'targetIC', 'areaSize', 'areaDistance' - exactly what I'm looking for to tweak the RAF AI [please see this link http://www.mnstarfire.com/ww2/hoi/documentation/aivariables.html]. However, with the upgrade of the game to 1.3, are these former values obsolete? I'd imagine if I attempted to add these parameters now the game wouldn't recognize them, but if it is possible - or if there is a way to include them - it would be beyond awesome. :D

Thanks for reading and for any advice provided.
