Nice words, but I wonder how the average French soldier or worker would feel about being told that they're fighting for the sake of the German workers.

He probably would spit his wine out and ask the commentator to repeat! We had Jean Jaurès trying to take that road before, and the results were the Union Sacrée against le Boche.

But well, if the internationalist revolutionary fervor and zealous indoctrination that we witnessed in the Soviet Union in OTL managed to blossom in France, there probably will be workers absolutely convinced that they are every working man's brother... So if the Commune remains Leninist, it could work - if it turns Stalinist, it probably won't.

The Soviet National Anthem booms across the airwaves

Today in National News: Factories in Helsinki continue to be returned to Soviet Russia after the unconditional surrender of Imperialist forces in the country. However outside of the city in the countryside hostile elements still operate against Soviet troops. National police force of Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic continues to grow as Finnish Nationals are placed into the newly formed Supreme Soviet of the FSSR. As war crimes debt is paid off by the FSSR, Soviet troops are forecasted to return to border duty in the West.

The mechanisation of the military continues apace, with Kingisepp Tank Works claiming to be 50% above the Quota set out in the New Economic Plan. The Russian Proletariat will be Liberated!

In Foreign News: the Soviet government recently sent a delegation of international friendship to the Union of Britain. These young men and women are to make connections and to learn from the British people about the differences in the ways in which Socialism can prosper. French troops continue their steady advance through the territory of the German Empire, and we have received reports that the United Baltic Duchy has gone to full military mobilisation.

Well, in all my games the Soviets do horribly against any enemy, so yeah, they're more of a burden than anything else (Like Italy in WW2)

The Soviets seems to be getting more powerful but sadly they're going to be useless to the Internationale as long as they don't control the entire nation.

They're the legitimate government of the Glorious Proletariat... in the Western part of Russia at least

Ah, yes. The 'Italy' clause. The RSI is doing rather well, having ejected the Austrians out of the Peninsula to their starting position... with massive French and BRITISH help! (the Brits landed a tonne of troops in Sicily then turned them over to Fra, oddly :| ) :rofl::rofl:

The Anthem of the CNT

Guten Morgen Deutschland! This is Radio Freies Berlin, broadcasting direct to Occupied Europa from our Paris Studio. Today's News. Spanish Armoured Divisions with French support lead a daring breakaway attack toward Frankfurt-Am-Main this morning, following the Rhine as the Prussian army abandon the southern districts of the country.

Meanwhile the Comite de Salut Public have issued an agenda, outlining the creation of a German, unified state stretching from the Border of Alsace-Lorraine to the Oder, with the status of the remaining lands of the former Kingdom of Prussia beyond that border to be defined at a later point. The new, German Union will not support the imperialist colonies of Germany, with a unified British and French mandate in Africa to allow a decolonisation process to take place, with the results expected to be fulfilled in the late 1960's.

The Provisional Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund met today in order to discuss the administration of the currently occupied zones. The current practise of using French troops to ensure against disorder is tying up valuable fighting men from the frontline, according to L'Armee Populaire Organiser of Manpower, Guy Mollet. The DG has organised two platoons of recruiters to tour the major cities of the region in an attempt to drum up support and return the life of those in the occupied regions to something approaching normality. I'm very disturbed by the proposal to set up British and French mandates in Africa. I feel it would be better if the continent is given immediate self government but with heavy Anglo-French assistance in transition.

Meanwhile it seems that the tyrant of Berlin shall soon be toppled. Hurrah for the German people! Hurrah for worldwide socialism!

Will the German populated lands East of the Oder be given to Germany? Surely France would not support an RL Stalinist approach of forcing mass migration?

More good news from Germany, their once-proud army must be in a poor state indeed if it's even being beaten by the Spanish now.

The news from Africa is rather worrying however, the 'mandates' look like a rather transparent attempt by Britain and France to take Germany's colonies for themselves.

1. They're still holding their ground against the italians so things aren't that bad.

2. Shush! Giving liberty to Africa is pointless. If they would, they would spend the next 20 years babysitting them and dealing with all kinds of bad things. This way they can make sure things get done and those countries actually have an industry to support themselves.

It's certainly an interesting AAR, though I've not too much of the history figured out, I've at least figured out who the "good guys" are. Well, according to Liebknicht anyway.

Regardless, I've enjoyed reading it and, by virtue of posting here, am now following it. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole picture soon enough.
