Is there any difference between the Radar built in a specific province and the radar queued up from the production radar button?

What does the radar actually do? I can't find anything in the manual.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe this should be in the HOI 2 forum.

Anyhow, there isn't any difference. Just two different ways to build the station.

One way you choose the province after its been built to place it. the other option is you pick the placement upfront.

It helps your Air combat. Basically the FOG of war (for air units) is lifted for a couple of provinces.

See DD #11, we are trying to improve the radar feature.

Hope this will allow automatic interceptions like in HoI 1. I remember that sometimes out of nowhere my planes on interception (or air superiority don't remember) would go on air after spotting enemy in neighbouring province and trying to catch and destroy them.
This could be cool feature to see again, so your planes don't need to be in air all the time (even if there would be greater risk of being bombed while on ground).
