Quits: some statistical observations

Well, GM, that previous "bad quit" was quite poor sportsmanship. First you switched from US to Italy because I said I wouldn't allow you to take over the west coast of South America. Then you quit Italy because I, as UK, invaded after warning you several times to white peace Switzerland. You then proceeded to cut off all diplomatic ties or any kind of attempts at peace talks (once I had occupied 100% of your territory). Then the next session you quit because I entertained the idea of taking Sardinia and forcing you to release Swiss lands... really, that's quite a "bad quit".

Sorry Hive. I did that to provoke a little. As you know it is a bad quit to me if you want to end the game because "you have no chance to win the game" or something similar. If everyone had that opinion not many games would be played to the end, and thus it would be rare for anyone to claim a victory. Personally I play all games until the end if no "good quit" condition are at hand.

If you had read my earlier posts on this incident you would know that I would have quit in your shoes as well - although not exactly how you did it.

I was referring to the attitude of at least two other players who wanted to end the game after you had quit. At least one of them explicitly stated the reason was that the game was "over" in his opinion. Your quit did not ruin the game (you were a pawn, not a queen, after you had left the Mughals) but the attitude of some other players did.

I sure ain't satisfied, for one. YOU may think that you were some poor victim of a some horrible, horrible quits - and that Artemis and I should be sidelined with Al Qaeda. But that's YOUR opinion - and it angers me a lot when you start flabbering around as if it's a universally determined fact; that your claim about New Order IV ending due to bad quits is true and accepted by all.

And even when I express how much I dislike it, you just continue. With the sole purpose of pissing off the people you accuse of these "crimes against humanity".

New Order IV on thursdays has been aborted due to announced bad quits.

When you write something like the above, you present it as a fact - which it is definately not. You think it shows that you are us all intellectually superior - but all it really shows is your obnoxious arrogance, imo.

Oh, and technically, we didn't quit anything - the game was declared dead. But why didn't you just try to carry it on without me and Art, if you felt so strongly for the game? What did you do to keep the game running?
