So it looks with VV that the game works OK.
I've dug out my Encyclopaedia Britannica (1951 edition, complete with some wonderfully politically incorrect statements) compared maps, got a spreadsheet so I can tie up AUC dates to BC, poured some wine, taken a deep breath.
I tend to just start at the beginning and only Rome; maybe I should give King Pyrrhus a chance to fulfill his potential - "the most brilliant of the military adventurers whom the disturbed times following the death of Alexander the Great had brought into prominence."
I tend to run the game fast, then stop sort out omens, armies, appointments etc. Not very subtle I guess.
How and who do you guys play?
