Is there a way to change the default border colour? I refer to the thin dark band on the edge of your empire's territory.

I'm trying to create an event that turns all planets of a Fallen Empire (with a specific ethos) into tomb worlds upon game start. I thought this would work, but it doesn't:

Code:
namespace = missingfe

event = {
   id = missingfe.1
   title = OK
   desc = OK
   hide_window = yes
   #is_triggered_only = yes
   fire_only_once = yes

   immediate = {
       every_planet = {
           limit = {
               has_planet_flag = fallen_empire_world
               ROOT = { has_ethic = ethic_fanatic_militarist }
           }
           change_pc = "pc_nuked"
       }
   }
}

What am I doing wrong?

You have no trigger to determine when the event should be firing. Also ROOT is used improperly here as it merely refers to the scope of the event itself, which is galactic and doesn't contain any ethic data. Since it is already scoped to the planet in every_planet you can just use OWNER instead.

Is there any effect that will change the graphical culture of a specific - existing - ship?

Easy to change the culture of a country, but want to change something for an individual ship...
You might be able to save the previous ship as an event target and copy over its details/location to a new ship while changing the graphical culture. As an idea I pulled out of my ass, you could try scoping to the ship in question and doing effect = { graphical_culture = "example" } with likely disastrous results.

Hey, on the Stellaris Wiki I've read, that the two human empires in the game share the same species, any idea how I can create a new empire that shared the same species, so if my custom human empire meets the united nations of earth, they are the same species?

So I try making a quick mod to allow more traits choices for custom races.
I made common\defines\es_defines.lua
It now has two lines:
"
NDefines.NSpecies.MAX_ETHIC_POINTS = 7
NDefines.NSpecies.MAX_TRAITS = 15
"

When I try to run stellaris, the game crashes at the end of the loading screen (when reaching 100%)
I checked and does work without the mod!

HELP?

If you use the same name, and same traits in the same order then it should be the same species. You could generate a galaxy and observe it to see if it counts your humans alongside any others that spawn.

I am trying to make private music mod but my game doesn't seem to want to find the costum music. Can anyone tell me what is going wrong?

I converted with VLC to Theora + Vorbis (OGG) but I am not sure this completly correct. Tried it now with audacity but that didn't change anything.

Hey, on the Stellaris Wiki I've read, that the two human empires in the game share the same species, any idea how I can create a new empire that shared the same species, so if my custom human empire meets the united nations of earth, they are the same species?
The game keeps species seperated even if they are identical in all respects. Even if everything else is similar, the game engine knows which is which and keeps them seperate. This is obviously better than the alternative which would result in crazy annoying mixups. We have several modding functions added not too long ago that allow us to identify various levels of similarity between two species.

My experience helping out on the playable robots mod leads me to believe you will probably have to accept certain game engine quirks from them being seperate species (colonizing, making armies etc). On the game initialization the original developer for playable robots had to apply robot-specific traits to the starting pop, but it was not possible to modify the existing species as is. An entirely new one had to be created even though it was the same in every single way. This way newly built robots did not need to have the trait reapplied every time, but it also resulted in the starting pops being their own species. In gameplay terms its fine as even xenophobes would not cause problems here, but from a modding standpoint it is awkward to say the least.

So I try making a quick mod to allow more traits choices for custom races.
I made common\defines\es_defines.lua
It now has two lines:
"
NDefines.NSpecies.MAX_ETHIC_POINTS = 7
NDefines.NSpecies.MAX_TRAITS = 15
"

When I try to run stellaris, the game crashes at the end of the loading screen (when reaching 100%)
I checked and does work without the mod!

HELP?
One thing that has never ceased to infuriate me about stellaris is how paradox completely neglects to inform people of critical information. You need the correct encoding so the file can be read properly. This is most easily achieved by copying the original defines file, deleting its contents, renaming the file and then using that as your base. Make sure each line has a semicolon as well. If you still run into crashes it may be that those values are too high.

Hi,

Is it possible to add a tile resource in a system initializer to a fixed tile?
I set a planet with 25 tiles and I want to add a specific resource to the middle tile and not a random one.

thanks
