Same rules, however, AI have a few restrictions via "modifiers" which prevent them from taking the decision where player could.

Having strong tribal vassals, of different culture would prevent AI from taking that decision.
However, my guess is they don't have absolute tribal org.

1) Sometimes i get random claims on some provinces randomly (as far as i remember provinces that i border or my vassal's ones). I mean without chancellor fabricating claim.
Whats the event firing these claims? Or shall i report to bug-report section.

2) Year is 988 and norse culture split already take place, im however far away from scandinavian lands and still norse -and trying to convert those bloody bretons- If i convert to Norwegian/Danish etc will my provinces convert with faster rate?

3) Lets say i conquered some norwegian land(s) and im still norse, can i revert its culture to norse?

4) Whats the fastest way to convert province culture? apart from having 1 vassal for each county, having high stewardship ruler/vassals, using new event thing which converts province with 25%-50% chance after a revolt crushed.

1. WAD (if we're talking about "a claim has been discovered". these claims are not fabricated, that's why they're free.
2. No. To speed up the conversion, set ambition to "convert province". make sure to use the culture one, not the religious.
3. sure, but i think it will still "want" to convert to norweigan again.
4. see #2. use the ambition.

Well good to know, but that "ambition culture thing" dosent work or its just me :p
Over 120 years passed always had that ambition after getting a lifestyle/nickname etc. so roughly 60-80years of culture change ambition not a single convert happen :(

Managed to convert 4provinces all after bloody revolts. I guess i have to try harder.

I havent played CK2 since november so am i misremembering or did a lot of things change since ck2plus went down from steam? I dont remember so many laws being available to me...its almost like when i first started CK2 vanilla...overwhelmed but in a good way. Im eager to tear into this.

*One thing that immediately brought down my spirits though is the the fact that catholic rulers cannot marry matrilinially now? My 'invite male claimant to court and marry them to a female dynasty member' strategy wont work out so well now will it? Is there any way to counteract this other than switching religions? (God, ive forgotten so much even how to do that.)

*Also is there anywhere I can read an in depth guide for all the new changes? The main ck2plus it seems has the same information as the ck2plus wiki and Im having trouble finding something more detailed.

Edit: Do courtiers marry autonomously?

Both you and the target realm need at least agnatic-cognatic inheritance.

Not that I'm aware of

Ty zeress I was able to find a changelog but it seems unreliable as 1) its from 2013 and 2) the shifts in changes from the education system alone seem miles apart, so who knows what else has changed.

Edit: Blast, i cant copypaste on steam overlay. I would post it otherwise

Maybe I'm just bad at researching since I can't find the answer around here and have not kept CK2+ up to date for a few months, but besides the major changes listed in the changelog for empires is there a big change for Abyssinia/Ethiopia? I remember before being able to form an empire title with the kingdoms of Abyssinia and Nubia and I think I remember seeing the ability to become Ethiopia, but in my current game with the up to date mod (the one without India) I own Abyssinia, Nubia, and most of Egypt (don't have the title yet), but there's no indication of being able to form an empire with no decision to form Ethiopia and not being able to use the custom empire decision since it says Ethiopia isn't a capable area for it.

I'm assuming I'm missing something, but will something come up once I unlock and change to the imperial administration? I was hoping to be able to tag switch to Ethiopia for the conversion to EU4.

You need to have a sufficient realm size, 50 counties or 150 holdings, and two non-titular kingdom titles.
also, since it's a titular empire with no holder your culture has to be ethiopian.

Just found that out last night with a bit more conquering, so now the option is there to form the Abyssinian empire, but now I'm curious if there is a point where it simply becomes Ethiopia or if the Abyssinian empire just converts to EU4 as Ethiopia. If not that's fine, I just wanted to be sure before I end up converting the save so that I can play as Ethiopia in EU4.

I have just started playing this mod, and the "personal combat" event during battles is still giving me a headache. What is more important for determining the outcome of such a duel, the martial attribute or the personal combat skill? Do female rulers and/or commanders have the same chance of winning as male characters? And is there any point in continuing a fight if I'm clearly losing the first couple of rounds?

My last game virtually ended in anarchy after my powerful but inexperienced (high martial, low personal combat skill) Umayyad sultan was slain by a 60 year old queen of Asturias, so I'm still wondering about what went wrong...

I have a question about childhood focus. Do they have the same probability to give the childhood traits than in vanilla CK2 ? I have the feeling that I almost never get 2 childhood traits from the childhood focus I choose while is not uncommon to have no traits from the focus I choose. So is it just a feeling or CK2+ has made some changes ?

How did y'all get the demesne/centralization laws to link with legalism tech? I'm working on a personal submod (my very first!) and I wanted to expand on that system. I've been inspecting the files to the best of my limited ability but I just can't seem to figure it out.
