right can anyone tell me how to fire the fall asche italian surrender event playing as germany, when italy surrenders to the allies, or tell me where to download a save game from the right point
In that case, is flying bomb effectiveness increased by assigning leaders and letting them gain org, or is it all the same to just fire them as soon as they're built?

2. Playing as Japan, is it worth it to liberate India and the Dutch East Indies into puppets with the aim of getting a larger proportion of resources from them?
I expected that. What do the expansions for II offer that III simply doesn't have?
1. I have taken all the VPs and navel bases and all the provinces I could actually send my forces to in the dutch east indies area, but there are still provinces (the ones with woefully low infrastructure) which are owned by the UK and Netherlands. Is there any way for me to get these? In particular the Netherlands - since their only presence on the map is one island in pan America which is not even a VP - why can I not annex them or acquire territory or anything? I did add the acquire territory goal for the east indies.
Since there were plenty of naval bases to spare and the infrastructure in India is pretty good - why on Earth were so many of my units not in supply?
Maybe you have to manually add supply convoys to all those ports. Japan always had problems, because their main supply node changed to some backwater province on the chinese coast. Just use the supply/naval map mode.
An even more important question now.
Again, as Japan, I've declared war on USA, owning it up - must have sunk at least 30-40 US ships now in the Pacific including about 5 carriers. I myself have 7x fleets of 3 carriers and 3 light cruisers per fleet, keep them close together. So that's 21 carriers and 42 CAGs.
Now all of a sudden I get jumped by a US fleet with 7 carriers and about 5 escort carriers, rest are destroyers and light cruisers and transports. They get much better positioning score on my fleets (all fighting together in the same naval zone) and tear my fleet apart - I lose about 30% ships including carriers, and the rest are badly damaged.
I load up as USA to have a look because I am just in WTF mode, and they have a massive megastack of ships (that just attacked and defeated all 7 of my fleets at once) with a hull penalty of 80.
Does anyone want to explain this to me? How should I approach the situation - I was under the impression that hull penalty was bad (not to mention having a leader that can command a mere 12 ships compared to the 60ish the US AI had), yet it seemed to make this superstack invincible as they all quickly and simultaneously moved into position to attack my ships and yet not a single one of mine was in position to attack theirs?
(Also, sorry for the triple post).
generally don't want more then 10 CVs = 20 CAGs in the same battle at once.

When ever I try to take any form of diplomatic action the icon is highlighted but when I click on them nothing happens. Is there any reason for this? It's not just Yugoslavia, it happens with all countries. The autotrade checkbox is also unable to be un-ticked.
could it be that you have activated the AI?
Should be is far from how it actually works in many cases, and CAGs is one of them.Since 2 CAGs = roughly 1 air unit, shouldn't the reference be "no more than 6 air units, e.g. 12 CAGs, instead of 20 CAgs" ? Or does the penalty during a Sea battle is different ?
No penalty except that they get assigned officers even if undeployed (so your ratio will be reduced). And ofcourse that they don't start regaining their org (and strength if reserves) until deployed. Is there any penalty of having undeployed units?
