Just substract the two from each other, and you get the net gain for whoever has the highest experience.
Thank you for your fast response. I guess it just irritates me that these symbols are global (for this particular battle) and not sorted in a way where it states which ones are affecting the attacker or defender respectively, and most of all by what value.

Edit: And by realizing who kindly answered my question i want to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution to this community, you certainly helped me a lot by your guides/AAR's!

You're very welcome. And, for the record, I agree completely. Those modifier icons could at least tell you in the tooltip what's what.

I am actually very confused by the modifiers or little icons that are near top of the window that displays combat details, such as Leader Experience, Night, etc... For example, if it says Leader Experience, how do i determine if the attacker or the defender is influenced by it?
If you mouse over each unit in battle, it will tell you what modifiers affect it specifically.

Maybe not quick- any rules/guides for keeping your fuel stockpiles up as Germany or another major with no oil resources? Or at the very least how you keep it growing prior to going to war? I feel like I see screenshots where Germany playthroughs have 40-50k fuel '39-'40, and that seems like a ton with the number f planes and tanks Germany has.

edit- second question: is there a new nations mod that's currently supported/works with TFH?

Is there a way to co-ordinate attacks with you allies? As the French, I'm trying to attack into Italy, and cannot do it on my own. I'd like to do a coordinated attack with the Brits, but cannot figure out how to do this. Any help I can get from the other allies would be great.

As Germany, unless you actively work at wasting it, you won't use up a lot of fuel until Barbarossa. If you want to be sure, though, you can research Oil Refining a little early, so your conversions will produce more fuel. You can trade for some oil (never fuel, because you get more fuel ultimately if you refine your own) with the money you get from selling all the supplies and energy anyone will buy. However, you will be taking the national stockpiles of Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and whomever else you crush. Trading with Romania is a natural choice to build up some oil. As Germany, rares are your far greater concern. I have had good luck trading early on with the big future Allied powers, and with the Soviets.

Set an objective near the place you want to attack. This usually gets the nation you selected to attack there after some time. That's the closest thing, I think.

Odd- I've never really felt at risk to run out of rares, but fuel's been low forever. Also at least post First Vienna Awards most people won't trade with me it seems.

Can Japan get trough the game with having a war with USA?

As an AI? It's unlikely- but I think there are a couple of cases where it will happen. Like if they get stuck in China (usually won't happen) that'll usually keep them from attacking US I think. Also I'm sure I played a game or two where it basically didn't happen while playing as France.

q.How do I create a new Theatre?

q.As Germany , I want to support Italy in Africa,- how do I do this? I cant get any transport ships to the Med, and it will take forever to march to Sicily

q.I am using Francesco's counters mod- however the counters do not display flags in them, does anyone else have this problem?

Couple ways to support Italy in Africa.

Build some transports and strand them in the Med when the war starts, so you can transport troops to Africa. When Italy is in the war, SR troops to Italy and ship them across. I haven't tried it, but I got a u-boat fleet stuck there at war start last time, and it got away with a lot before Italy was even in the war, basing out of Italian ports. Henceforth I will always plan to strand some subs there, and maybe transports.

Send some air units. I'd think Italy could benefit a lot from some up-to-date German air cover.

Another way to solve this problem; Declare war on Yugoslavia, then race to the port of Split. That'll give you a nice base for operations in Africa instead of having to send some transports down there pre-war.

Okay, here's a more serious question. How do I determine when and how someone declared war on someone else, if I'm not playing as either of the combattants?

Say you have a two CV fleet, when assigning CAG's do make up the CAG of two wings each or max out at three? Why I ask is four would be a usual max for stacking penalties and if you have 2 x three CAG's thats a big stack

Okay, here's a more serious question. How do I determine when and how someone declared war on someone else, if I'm not playing as either of the combattants?

You can change it in the message settings to that the games pauses and gives you a pop-up.

edited to add: or just gives you a pop-up, depending on your preference.

Say you have a two CV fleet, when assigning CAG's do make up the CAG of two wings each or max out at three? Why I ask is four would be a usual max for stacking penalties and if you have 2 x three CAG's thats a big stack

Every carrier has room for 2 CAGs, while escort carriers have room for 1 CAG. So a CV-fleet with, say, 6 CV would have 6x2 CAGs.
