Uh...In terms of V2 game actions, outside of the Americas and the Philippines, the USA did not "meddle" in the sense of redrawing maps or overthrowing governments -- they didn't "meddle" in the same sense as me going to war against the UK or the Netherlands or China to force the release of Bengal or Java or some Chinese sub-state -- that's far different than the Open Door Policy the USA adopted historically.
let's see...
Russo- Japanese War, America mediated between the two, forcing Japan to give up some claims in China. One of the reasons China wasn't divided was because America wanted China but couldn't afford colonies there. So the US negotiated and managed to prevent colonial takeovers in China. Liberia was formerly American and had plenty of American influence there. America intervened in Hawaii and annexed it. Spanish American War and the Philippine- American War was another big one. World War I was a huge one. They tried to redraw Europe somewhat more wisely than the Allies but failed. They overthrew a few governments everywhere. Commodore Perry's expedition to Japan was a small instance. Then, America started exploiting Japan through extra territoriality and more. Same with China, Siam, etc. American influence extended to Egypt after the Jaffa outrages. America settled a colonial dispute between France and Germany. In 1927, America had nearly 6,000 troops in China protecting American interests. America sent troops to Siberia during the Russian Civil War. America led international efforts to dismantle large navies. They would've gone to war many times if other powers hadn't listened to American demands.
Yeah, I think the US intervened a lot.
