Have you researched PD? That may be required too. I didn't check since I don't use hangars on ships much. I also seem to get Cruisers and Battleships late (after all the weapons).

You mean point defense? No, I haven't. I'll see if that fixes it. Thank you!

I'm playing with wormholes as my FTL method and I'm wondering what happens when the trade deal with another nation that grants me wormhole station access ends. Will all my wormhole stations in that empire's space be immediately disbanded, or will they be left alone since they're already there? If the former, will I be given some opportunity to renegotiate wormhole station access first and if the latter, can I still continue to use them or do I have to gain wormhole station access again first?
In 1.3, they explode. In 1.2, they remain but you can't make more.

So, just completed a war to force open borders. And after winning... all my ships are forced to leave because the borders are still closed. I assume this is because we're rivals which auto-closes borders..? Is this the intent? Seems kind of silly that they wouldn't at least warn you in a tooltip. I've now got like 6 more years before I can even unrival them -- will I get the open borders at the end of that, or did I just prosecute an entirely useless war?

Is there any way to upgrade ships that you gained from events?

I have a Cruiser but it only has warp 1. I'd like to upgrade it to warp 2 but I have no design I can change. It has far better weapons than anything in my fleets, so naturally I'd like to keep it around.

Is there any plans to give xenophiles some method of colonizing planets held by primitive species? Maybe not extreme xenophiles, but regular old xenophiles a method of say putting up preserves or an uplift protocol for tribals similar to how we can uplift animals?

Some event ships can be upgrade if you choose the auto-update button and then upgrade them, you'll have to cull the other designs, this doesn't work with raiders, and don't recall it working with the cultist, but the cruiser from derelict works.

Is there any other way other than relative power of empires and the plus 10 from friendly attitude to boost the modifiers for demand vassalisation? I'm -10 reasons away from gaining a vassal and need to close the gap.

If the ship is of one of the basic ship classes you can normally build in your spaceport, it works, otherwise no.

Hello, I can't choose the vassalize wargoal because of "no war member fufills required conditions". I have the unrestricted war policy, so this is not the reason, but the nation pays tribute to another nation. Is it the reason? Is a tributiary nation counted as a subject nation?

Can you invade them or infiltrate their population instead? The problem with going the war-after-enlightenment route is that you'll have a truce with them after you release them, so you won't be able to declare war straight away and someone else might scoop them up.

Your other vassals won't care about the latter, though.

If you choose the liberate war goal on more than one planet, does it create a new empire for each planet or just one from the war?

If all the planets you attempt to liberate belong to the same empire, then you'll end up creating a single new empire with all of those planets. In a situation where you're at war with multiple empires and attempt to liberate planets from more than one empire... I don't actually know for sure. I would assume that would lead to multiple newly liberated empires being created, but I've never been in that situation.
