Are there any disadvantages to putting all your extra planets into one sector?
You can only set one priority per sector. If one big sector rebels, you're in trouble. Other than that, I don't think there are any.

EDIT: thought of another one. You can give sectors resources to speed up their development. If you only have one big sector, you have no say in what part of it will get the boost.

* How do I uplift species? I've had the tech for a while but haven't found an option on any planets I have with pre-sentients. Does it have to be a planet in a system I haven't colonized? If so, is there any way to get rid of the pre-sentient pops on my planet (my ethics can't purge)?

* How do I gene mod pops now that I have the tech? My sectors are doing it but I haven't found the option.
You need to go to the Species tab of the Contacts window and find the species you're after (if it's a busy galaxy this can be a hassle - menu could do with some filters) and if the race exists on a planet in your territory, there should be a "modify" or "uplift" button

Is there an interaction with Primitive Species that allows me to use their pops to colonise other worlds? Thought I saw the dev stream do that but now I cant quite remember how.. Currently "Infiltrating" an Early Space Flight civ, but not sure if this is what I actually want to do.. Thanks!

There are techs to unlock colonisation of different kinds of worlds, starting with 60% habitable ones (from my species' perspective). I understand what this means for colonising with my primary species. But what about other species? Can they only be used to colonise their favourite world type, or do other worlds also get unlocked for them with tech? What about robots? Logically a robot colonist shouldn't care about habitability ratings, but I don't know if there any tech-based restrictions. Tomb worlds seem to be a special borderline case, as they're 0% habitable but still have a surface view.

Also, am I correct in understanding that even robots can't colonise Barren, Frozen, Toxic and Molten worlds? (Seems a bit unfair with Barren at least - I don't see why robots should care if the planet has no atmosphere.)

Is there any kind of undo function on the Sector management mapmode? I keep accidentally clicking the wrong plus sign and would love to not lose 25 influence every time I do that.
Nope.

What does it mean when the numbers under resources (mining stations) are yellow? I conqured some space and about half the stations there are showing yellow numbers on the galaxy screen. I tried destroying their stations and building my own; that did not work.

I can tell there's something wrong because I'm not getting access to a strategic resource that has a yellow number.

How can I make all pop ups pause the game, and prevent closing pop ups from unpausing the game?

I want to play like I play EU, on the fastest speed, but most of the events pause it.

I second this. It's one of the most jarring and annoying things about this game. Basically forces me to play on normal speed so I don't miss anything.

I still don't know what it means but I just closed and re-opened the game to fix the issue.

I've had the yellow-text happen whenever I don't have enough energy to pay the maintenance on those stations. It also seems to happen whenever my sectors run out of energy themselves.

I don't have a the option to build a leadership for a Star Empire. I never built one. How do I get the model? It's not in my ship design page.
