I am having a seriously hard time accumulating currency (alloy/consumer goods too but for this post i'll stick to currency), is there something I am missing? Pre 2.2 I would dedicate entire planets to nothing but producing either energy, science research or minerals. Now I have to balance each planet, wasting pops/districts on unproductive buildings/tiles and the outcome has been a bunch of planets that are particularly great at being mediocre and offering next to nothing for the empire. I tried to set a planet and its districts up to being productive/useful and they quickly succumbed to crime and instability.
Sector resources seems to have taken a hit as well with many sectors offering little currency/mineral output when mined. I've found a couple that offered 8-10 but it seems to be averaging 3-4. I own about 40% of the galaxy in my current game and am netting around 60 credits (with my fleets quartered). I play wide and always have but feel like this style of play is no longer feasible as as soon as I move my fleets or engage in war, I have to resort to market trade exploits just to squeak by. I have an abundance of trade routes and trade hubs/off world trading attached to their star bases but even still I am looking at gathering a couple dozen credits at a time if I am lucky. Am I missing something or is anyone else having this issue? Thanks.

Edit: Also, is purging native species no longer available? I am playing xenophobe with authoritarian ethics and have a planet with a bunch of native species on them. They have been there for nearly 200 years and their population hasn't changed. I double checked my policies and it says it's to purge natives. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bug?
