How do I stop pirate fleet from spawning on my trade routes? I am patrolling but it does not help.

The trade routes map should show you the factors. Patrol fleets reduce piracy very effectively while they're in system, but if you're patrolling more than a few systems the pirates will come back.

Starbases with weapons reduce piracy in nearby systems. Hangar bays have 2x the effect of other weapons for this.

Anyone know when the Federation President check is made? It comes up when I reload, but I haven't seen it happen while the game is running.

This has probably been asked already, but... How or (or even can you) get a particular species to work a particualr job? As in, my species has a unity bonus... How (or can I even) change it around so that all the priests are of that job?

Resttlement only appears to let me swap between planets. I can't even see how you would do it without... I dunno, clearing the priest job slot, sending the specialist off somewhere else and then... Hoping that a pop of the right species... Wait, no, do you even clkear job slot you pick or just left to right or something...?

Currently there is no way. The job system is supposed to favour pops with beneficial traits, but currently the priest job only cares about charismatic, traditional, natural sociologists and their opposites in terms of traits, completely ignoring the likes of intelligent, erudite, fertile, brainslugs, psionics and so on. So if your unity-boosting trait is anything but traditional, you're out of luck without a mod until they fix the weights.

Okay, that's not something to worry about then!

Next question; can you edit/manually assign trade routes (or at least give 'em an "exclude this system" sort of flag, to avoid my interal trade route oing through someone's space and through maruaders?

Trade routes avoid systems with restricted access.

What do Living Metal, Zro, Dark Matter and Nanites do? I got Dark Matter but I can do nothing with it except use the Market.

And how do I get Nanites? I opened the L-Gate and the empire living there told me I'd have access to their exclusive resources (the Gray things, but I guess they're all now filed under "Nanites"?), but I'm getting nothing.

Is it normal that I feel that my pop growth can't keep with my building upgrades? In my current game, I play Inward perfection empire and have every edict and decision + tech that boost population growth and somehow it's not enough to fill all jobs available. I'm sure there's something I'm doing wrong. Any tips? :p

I meant pirate fleets from the event, not regular piracy.

Quick question: has anyone seen Paridaya, RGB,or brain slugs since 2.2?

Anomalies seem to have been tweaked again. I get a lot of fairly generic ones including a lot of terraforming candidates without seeing all the unique ones now.

I got Paridaya in one of my games. It had special features letting me build several crystal mines and mote collectors.

Is it normal that I feel that my pop growth can't keep with my building upgrades? In my current game, I play Inward perfection empire and have every edict and decision + tech that boost population growth and somehow it's not enough to fill all jobs available. You should only be building and upgrading when you need the jobs. Otherwise you're wasting the upkeep costs.

That's probably what I did wrong. :) My economy was probably drained too by the wasted upkeep cost on a building where jobs aren't filled. I'll restart my game with the new beta and with these tips. I hope I'll have a better economy :)

I think Zro is now required when you need to update or build ships with psionic tech (ex: Psionic shields). I had unlocked the psionic shield tech and tried to add it on my ships and sadly, I couldn't build any because I didn't have zro deposit.

What event is that?
There is an event which spawns a small fleet of pirates in a system along one of your trade routes. They take over an outpost and sit there blocking the trade. I want to know what I need to do to prevent the event from happening. The piracy in the system was very low and it was regularly patrolled by corvets.

Anyone knows when space resources are generated? On galaxy generation or when you scan space objects?
I have this question because now there is trade value resources that can be mined by non-GS Empires. But what happens with GS Empires? They just miss them? They cannot be generated for them, so it's always changed for some other resources? Because if GS just "can't see" those deposits, they are getting less resources from space mining overall.
They should be generated on galaxy generation, iirc.

Anyone else have a Problem with the Caravaners? They dont leave their starting System and i cant investigate or contact them. Does it take some time before they are "activated"?
I think they will only start roaming the stars after some time (20 years? 40 years?) has passed.

How do I stop pirate fleet from spawning on my trade routes? I am patrolling but it does not help.
Increase protection via Star Bases or put more ships (ideally corvettes) into systems to supress piracy.

This has probably been asked already, but... How or (or even can you) get a particular species to work a particualr job? As in, my species has a unity bonus... How (or can I even) change it around so that all the priests are of that job?
[...]
There is a sort-of workaround here, although it will only work if there is sufficient weight discrepancy between species.
Close several jobs of the same strata to kick out some of your species, then close the jobs you want them in to kick out the xenos.
When you reopen the jobs, the game should (hopefully) reassign the best species from the unemployment pool of that strata to the job.

Exist now good build to tall play and rush unity/tech for fast Ecumenopolis / Megastructures?
Yes. My recommendation is Fanatic Pacifist + Xenophobe, Inward Perfection + Agrarian Idyll

Any use for Dark Matter besides selling it? It doesn't seem to give the research boost it used to.
I think some components use it, but maybe that got changed.

What do Living Metal, Zro, Dark Matter and Nanites do? I got Dark Matter but I can do nothing with it except use the Market.[...]
Living metal should allow a decision to speed up construction (both planet buildings and mega structures). Zro is needed for Fallen Empire tier components - treasure it!

They should be generated on galaxy generation, iirc.
Thanks. Does this mean that GS Empires that don't have access to Trade Value are missing those space resources completely? It's not much, but overall its just give them less. Not like those precious metals and minerals can't have alternative uses for GS?
