Is it the CAS planes or the Close Air Support mission that only bombs enemy troops if you have a land battle? Would tactical bombers bomb the UK troops? If not, it seems the only way I have to affect them is through attrition by bombing the infrastructure there.
It's not possible to bomb enemy troops without land battle.
Afaik it was possible in HoI3 and resulted in heavy exploits. Thus they cut it.

Just have a question for naval warfare with carriers.

What do I have to do with my planes stationed at a carrier?

Are they automatically attacking enemy ships in an engagement my carriers are in and are they also attacking enemy planes involved in the battle?
Or do I have to give them a sortie like air superiority etc? And if I give them a sortie do they fly the mission automatically above the region the carriers are in?

When your carrier leaves the port assign each air wing on the carrier with a mission, assign it to the air region it’s in, and then check the box that toggles if the air wings follow the task force into each separate air sector (I forget what the box is labeled).

Set like this the air wings will automatically change regions as the task force moves and they should operate in their assigned roles as set.

The annoying thing is that every time your carriers reach port the game resets your settings. So you have to reassign the mission type and air region every time they sortie out. If all of your land based air wings have assigned missions and regions you’ll get a notification telling you that an air wing lacks assignment and clicking on it will take you to the carrier air wings.

You don't need to give them explicit orders, they do their missions (air superiority, naval strike) automatically while a naval battle takes place. If the carrier is anchored (outside of port) you can use the carrier wings like land-based ones and need to manage them the same way.
The other main difference is that carrier wings in automatic mode are 50 times more effective (but only do something during naval battles).

To add: this doesn’t just apply to naval bombers, but also fighter aircraft. The last time I had a big naval battle with carriers on both sides I had my carriers loaded with fighters. In the naval battle they absolutely butchered the opposition force’s bombers.

There’s a lot of talk about carriers not being terribly useful, but their ability to protect against naval bombers is exceptional and allows you to run fewer AA guns on your other ships.

How do I get rid of Disjointed Government as France nowadays? Also, to contest Rhineland or not - which is best? Both as little entente and Allies.

You have several ways to get rid of Disjointed Government depending on the Focus Tree path you take. In the top right of the Focus Tree screen is a text search box when you enter Disjointed it will darken the ones that aren't relevant and highlight the ones that are.

Whether to contest Rhineland or not depends on whether you want to risk an early war with Germany. However, it usually fires so early I don't believe you will be in the Allies or the Little Entente yet.

Question about conquest. How conquering industry works? For example do I have to get the provinces with factories on them on the map? Or is It, conquer 50% of a state to get 50% of industry? Or do I access industry only if I get the whole state?

Provinces don't have factories, only states do. I'm not sure whether you have to have all of the provinces or just enough to be considered by the game to be the 'controller' of that state.

However, in La Resistance, unlike previous DLCs, you don't get the benefit of all the factory output. Your access to those factories will depend on the level of compliance in that state. The higher the level of compliance, the more factories you will have access to.

In the state {Dogpatch}, there are provinces; and factories are in particular provinces . To grab a factory, you take the province where the factory is located .

Are you using a mod that provides this? The Wiki says states, not provinces, have factories. The game seems to bear this out in that, if you select any province in a state, you get the State details screen . . . at least in vanilla.

Hmmm ... for factory ownership, if ye have taken that factory's province, several things are easily seen :
1] Using 'tag (`) ' into Bozo's screens, on equipment page, a factory went red, slashing the CF, WF, and/or Shipyard production ; Strategic bombing also counts here .
2] On infrastructure page, the factory count of that State is reduced by a number [ f/x > f-1+/x ] .

If your ground forces occupied this factory's province, it should show up on your building page, needing repair; regardless of that State's overall status in ownership .

I could be wrong here; but I don't think so .

I'm pretty sure you're wrong here. The only state level buildings that has a specific province are air fields and ports, and that can cause weird issues if you control the state, but not the province the air field or port is located in (especially if you try building in that state). State level infrastructure and buildings can be damaged during combat, or when provinces in the state change hands. Actual ownership of those assets goes to the state controller.

1. What type of puppets communist and non-aligned get ? Same as democratic or fascims ?
2. Are there any source in internet allowing to compare factors of puppets of various ideologies vs collaboration government (currently wiki page of puppets is not up to date) ?
