Do you have anyone in personal union? You can't become a republic or theocracy if you have any PUs.

Ow great... yes Morocco is in a PU with me. thx for the response though :p.

Current ruler is admin 3 while I am at 16 WE, its great o.o. If Austria, Bohemia and Lithunia had jumped in I would have been at war with every catholic nation larger then a 1PM. Goodtimes being the crusade target. Got out with some spheres though, even took a few extra provinces from deluded minors thinking they Burgundy.

Whats the deal with Smolensk having a core (and being able to be released from Novgorod) on Kola?
That means it got colonized by NOV (thus being given Russian culture), then had SMO nationalists revolt in and occupy it. The only countries that ever get core on it in the history files are NOV, MOS, and RUS.

How can the Emperor force member-states of the HRE to conform to his religion?

There is an "Enforce Religious Unity" Button in the screen, unless the year is 1650+ and thus it is removed (as is the Holy War CB).

I am taking a MASSIVE hit to war exhastion, the tool tip says it is entirley from attrition.

I have ZERO troops outside of my borders and if they have anything it is 5% bonus, there is NO attrition, on any army or navy unit I have, none AT ALL, and im almost getting 1 war exhaustion per month.

It has me having to continue to use console codes to cheat inorder to not have my nation revolt into nothing because of this crap.

I figured it out, I had a few stacks in allied territory, they were taking no losses but apparently thats enough to make the whole empire revolt

I don't think you quite figured it out. The green 5% doesn't represent a bonus of any sort. The 5% means that your units stacked in that province were suffering 5% attrition. Green just means that replacements are coming in faster than attrition takes troops away, resulting in 100% strength in that army, but depleting manpower reserves.

In my current game, the province of Sidon is unclickable. This is rather annoying, seeing as Sidon/Syria is an OPM enclave in my lands... I tried reloading (without quitting the game), it didn't help. Is there any known solution to this?

In addition to the previously mentioned find province option, if you open the ledger to the first page, scroll to Syria and click the name it will also go to/open the province view.

Does the ambassador advisor affects the chance of inheritance?

Also does the diplomat skill or the SoI affects it?

The devs haven't actually come out and said one way or the other. The common consensus on the forums seems to be that SoI helps, advisor doesn't but since the devs aren't saying that is mostly anecdotal.

Another quick question. Me (Byzantium) and my ally (France) went to war with Milan. This is a war I was invited to by my ally. I agreed terms of white peace with Milan so long into the war and now my alliance with France is terminated. Normally I'd understand but, I've done this before and the alliance has continued. So what gives?

Either France was forced to break alliances due to a peace treaty, you failed to respond to a call-to-arms (didn't notice it or were unable to accept due to other wars you were currently fighting), or France broke the alliance. The ai almost immediately breaks any alliance when their relations get below 0 if they are allowed to do so(not at war, not vassal/PU junior).

I also have 2 PU's and neither wish to integrate and both say unlikely... my infamy is 25, and prestige full. Surely infamy doesn't have that much of an effect does it?

Actually, infamy is probably the number 1 or 2 factor on whether nations will accept annexation/integration along with diplomacy value. You are more likely to be able to inherit a nation with 25 infamy than integrate it (at least in my experience).

I just got the Religious Civil Disorder event, and I have a couple of questions about it. I read that you can end it by converting heretical religions within your country to less than 10%, but that brings me to my first question. If I were to switch my religion to Protestantism while under the effects of Religious Civil Disorder, would that effectively end it or would it actually make it worse since many of my provinces would still be Catholic? The second question I have is how does the choice you make when the event pops up effect the outcome of the event? Thanks.

Changing your state religion can help if the majority of your nation already converted but if that isn't the case then no, it will make it worse. To get rid of the problem you have to get your nation almost fully converted to the state religion, whichever it happens to be. So if 60% of your nation is already protestant it will probably be faster/easier to change state religions, if only a few provinces changed then you are probably better of just waiting until you can convert them back.

What Campa said. Maximum number of units in a province before suffering attrition is determined by "unit weight". but basicly if you have an army selected and hover with your mouse over the province you want them to go, you get to see the number of units you can station there. A leaders manouver stat can be added on to this. (Example: You can station a 12 man army in a 8capped province without losses if your leader has 4 manouver)

In any case, anything other then 0% in the upper corner is bad for WE

If a decision will change my capital, will I lose my royal palace and tax assessor even when I move it back where it belongs instantly?
Yes. Though the tax assessor won't evaporate if your old capital has base tax 10 or higher.

Well sliders give them more morale. Did you see the rolls? if you rolled 0's in the shock face its n0t that surprising, just unlucky.

Sometimes things are just weird. I lost a battle with 6 charge cavalry and 8 muslim infantry against 10 chevauliers and 2 english man at arms while defending in the hills.
They had worse units, bad composition (no combined arms bonus) and bad terrain and still murdered me. (western isles with no ships close)

I lost indian trade company cus some random rebels took province from me. And there is no decision to get this back, it's bug or it's so easy to lose 12.5% trade chance and 5% trade eff. ?...

So why this decision won't appear again?

Taking the decision sets a flag which prevents you from taking the decision a second time. There is an event which removes the india_trade_co modifier if you're no longer in control of any east-Asian trade port, but the event doesn't remove the flag, so you can't take the decision again and hence can't get the modifier back.

You can fix the issue in your current game by removing the country flag trade_company, and you can prevent it from happening in the future by making both events in indiantradecompany.txt remove that flag when they remove the india_trade_co modifier.

It won't appear again because the flag saying you've ever created an Indian Trade Company doesn't get cleared when you lose it due to no longer having any east asian trade ports.

Solution: Protect your East Asian Trade Port.
