As it concerns the probability of the success of "Demand Annexation", are prestige and infamy equal in their affect of it? According to the Wiki, high prestige and low infamy are factors that will increase the probability of success. Right now, I have a "Very Unlikely" chance of diploannexing someone. I have about 19 infamy and about the same amount of prestige. I wanted to know if it would be better to wait for my infamy to die down, (as well as my prestige), or to go for it now.

I don't know the exact mechanic, but even if they're equal, 19 prestige will certainly have a FAR lesser effect than 19 infamy. 19 prestige is 19% of prestige limit (59,5% if you start counting at -100), 19 infamy is probably, what, 70% of infamy limit?

I see where you're going with that. It actually makes pretty good sense. I do, however, in this situation, have a Despotic Monarchy, (had to do a lot of unjustified conquest), and my infamy limit is 35.59.

In my experience, I've found that the diplomacy boost from nations in your sphere of influence helps a great deal with demanding annexation, so much so that the prestige is better spent expanding your sphere than hoarding to help boost the odds.

Does Ming get a chance to actually grow. I mean, all those factions dont allow them to go to war and stuff

When you're not having the desired faction in power, you can try getting into defensive wars of which you will most certainly become war leader since you're Ming, after all, and diplovassalize SE asian minors. Theoretically, never played them myself.

Do warnings ever expire? As in, if you've been warned by another nation not to go to war, and you wait long enough to declare war on someone, would they not get a CB on you?

Warnings and guarantees expire after 20 years.

I claimed Bohemia's throne (they're the HRE) and won a war with them, fair and square. And now, all of a sudden, Anhalt apparently has a union with them. What happened!?

Probably some limitation of the hosting site; I think some of them scale images down if they are over some limit.

I think that's one of those bugs associated with that tooltip. It's supposed to tell you whether or not the PU with Bohemia and Ethiopia would inherit/continue/break on your monarch death. Somehow the game throws Anhalt in there.

Try the tooltip on the Bohemia diplomacy panel by mouseovering their monarch name, see what's displayed there.

No clue why this happened, but what will be the result of it is that when your king dies Bohemia can inherit Anhalt, you can inherit Bohemia, or nothing happens.

Achievements are disabled now. I hear Paradox say they were more trouble than they were worth.

I think he means Steam specific achievements; if he does, that's a Steam problem.

There are no Steam achievements for EU3 that I'm aware of.

There is. It's in the base of the EU3 folder, it's called "eu3" instead of "eu3game", and its icon is a black square icon with a Paradox Interactive logo.
