I remember that once when I was playing as king of Pomerania with Theology focus and went to seclusion through an event I have managed to lose the trait Blinded. I was wondering - would the same thing be possible with traits like Deaf?

No, because Deaf is one of our traits, and we haven't written any such events to remove deafness. [Don't think we want to do so either?]

EDIT: There is a lip-reading event chain, though.

Oh well, that's a bummer.
Still, thanks for the answer.

Since I don't want to start another thread for some of my own very small questions, I'm gonna quickly hijack this one for my own needs.

- 1 -
Concerning cultural localization for title names, why do most titles only have 'German' culture localization instead of the Germanic dialects that exist before German culture comes about? I see that Bohemia has 'Böhmen' when a German characters holds the title, but when a Franconian or a Bavarian or any other pre-German cultured character holds Bohemia, it just defaults to 'Čechy'. I guess nobody put the time in to copy-paste that sort of stuff into the files?

- 2 -
What's the thought behind leaving the Pahlavi (Middle Persian) House of Karen named as such? When I look through the history files, I see that other pre-Islamic Persian dynasties, such as the Sassanids, were called the House Sassaniyán. Shouldn't the House of Karen be called Kareniyán as well?

- 3 -
Could someone explain to me the difference between the Pahlavi and Persian cultures? I heard from a friend that HIP makes a distinction between the two because Pahlavi (Parsig) is supposed to represent non/pre-Islamic Persian culture, while Parsi (Persian) is influenced by Islam and the Arabs.

- 4 -
To what extent are the melting pot cultures in Britain supposed to be mixed? Norse-Gaelic (Gall Goidel) seems to only have some additions from Norse, such as additional names for generated characters, and the ability to raid like Vikings. Anglo-Norse (Englisc) is even less so, with no real differences between Anglo-Saxon and Anglo-Norse on the surface. Was it such in real life?

- 5 -
Can the Archduchy of Austria be formed? I looked into the files and found 'k_austria' to which it's formation rules seemed pretty simple: Hold the Duchy of Austria (Österreich) and the Duchy of Styria (Steiermark). I might be blind of dumb, but when I hold both I cannot seem to form it. Did I read the requirements wrong, or was 'k_austria' disabled by HIP devs for some lost reason?

- 6 -
I'm guessing 'e_ulm' is a joke title for that comic which was popular here?

- 7 -
Why is it that, concerning the Viking Age and Stamford Bridge/William the Conquerer starts, there's a difference between who holds the Duchy of Barcelona at game start? In the 867AD start, some sort of Frankish dynasty controls the Duchy of Barcelona, while in the two 1066AD starts the dynasty screen for the House de Barcelona says that the House de Barcelona holds the Duchy in 867AD. Is this a conflict in history files?

- 8 -
Will custom dynasty coat of arms ever get any sort of additions? I understand that HIP already gives you tons more options for custom CoAs, but a lot of the options are either duplicates or lesser quality motifs compared to many of the in-game title CoAs. Particularily, the lions in the CoA generator are miles worse than the lions seen on some titles such as the Duchy of Carinthia and the Duchy of Styria among others.

- 9 -
Why are the Alans in the Byzantine culture group? Shouldn't they be in the Iranian culture group, or is this another case of Greco-Romanization?

- 10 -
Will there ever be an update where you combine Catholicism and Orthodoxy together before the Great Schism? And if not, what's the reasoning behind keeping Byzantine and Roman Christianity separate before 1054? I am not very good at searching this forum, so I could not find the answer to this question for which I assume there's already one.

- 11 -
Are Arians supposed to have next to no special game mechanics? What's the reasoning behind that?

Thank you for your time.

The creation of titular kingdoms was disabled a few versions ago, though I'm ignorant of the reasons behind it. Check the title_king_basic_allow trigger in common/scripted_triggers/emf_title_triggers.txt--it prevents titular kingdoms from being created, and is part of the allow section for every kingdom title.

You should have tried searching for "Chalcedonian". The answer is here. tl;dr: No. The split was de facto already done in 800 with the unilateral creation of the HRE by the Pope, and there's little benefit to be gained from doing the extra work of adding unified Chalcedonian Christianity to the 769 start when SWMH doesn't support the 769 start and relatively few people play EMF without SWMH.

Thank you for your response. The Chalcedonian split seems reasonable enough, though who would I go to to get an answer for the lack of titular kingdom title creation? @zijistark ?

Another small question:

Concerning the 867AD start, do historical dynasties appear where they did IRL or is the world stuck with the dynasties at the game start? I like seeing the dynasties with custom coats of arms, so it would be a shame to have them never appear when starting from the Viking Age bookmark.

Titular kingdom titles cause a lot of issues. I don't have time to list them, TBH. I might reconsider this in game rule form at some point, but so far, people seem to not mind their loss too much.
