quick question on ship building

correct me if i'm wrong but if i play as a major power will i need to construct any of the major ships that were commissioned or are they ALL made for me with the events? For instance as Japan will I get the Yamato and Zuikaku created by the events or will I have to manually construct them? Same applies to the US and UK with their battleships/carriers

Those which were being build or refitted on Jan 1st 1936 : by event. Those laid down after Jan 1st, 1936 : you'll have to build them manually.
