Hi all,

I am just wondering if we are able to interact with the factions of other Civs before they splinter into rebel civs? I seem to recall reading or hearing about this but cannot find evidence for it and now I fear I may have dreamt it up.

I quite like the idea of supporting the factions to make favourable changes to another Civ, like supporting getting their pacifist faction into power so they are less likely to attack or align better with my ideologies, or in another example, to cause a big empire to splinter by supporting its independence factions.

Did I imagine this or is it in the game?

Since something like this was in EUIV, I would imagine, that it was on the table, but it would be probably under Espionage, so prior to the next 2 DLCs, I kind of doubt it, though, there are more qualified people to share their knowledge.

Hmm, I could have sworn it was mentioned somewhere, If it's not in the game I doubt it'll end up in an espionage DLC, they said somewhere that they won't put espionage in the game unless they can develop a decent system for it, and most games have poor espionage systems.

It's a shame though, it would have been really cool to interact with factions of other Civs
