This is the Empire; King-level vassals are Urban Feudal and need to be called to arms.

Mostly I'd advise just not worrying about outlying unprotected province income; you lose money but it's filtered through multiple layers and barely matters. Fanatic revolts can be trouble but aren't common enough to be overwhelming on their own and the Urban Feudal vassals can handle the rest.

smash them that way if they don't care enough about their own people. It's beneficial in that raising the liege levies causes all levies from that vassal to be raised in a single stack in whatever county you have selected if memory serves.
As empire you have to all your king vassals to war through Call to Arms, which makes it impossible to use them with raiders who do not DoW. You can only hope that they do eventually gather their brains and raise their own levy.

keep an army near major coastal provinces,
Empire. The navigable river Reik goes right through it. That's how raiders keep appearing at Altdorf, Nuln or anywhere else from the northern coast all the way to border princes.

Mostly I'd advise just not worrying about outlying unprotected province income; you lose money but it's filtered through multiple layers and barely matters.
Provinces looted by raiders can increase doom counter. It's something I'd rather avoid.

That's only from the "looted" holding modifier. It doesn't happen if they're driven off before they successfully siege the first holding. Vassals generally drive them off before that happens.

Also just let Nordland burn because they don't have enough troops to fight off the Norscans and Druchii.

Too keep Altdorf from being burnt just park your levies on it till you have about 10k in state troop mercenaries. Then leave those state troops there. There is an abusive bug where if you disband the mercenaries then rehire them multiple times they fill up faster. You can basically permanently replenish the stack that way for a cost.

Ultimately your end goal is to just field massive amount of Halbedier and Handgunner state troops to permanently crush everything. Stacks of 10k usually work out then throw in three cannon groups. If you are feeling like it, add in the knight retinues also for some heavy cavalry. Then proceed to crush everything when the melee phase hits. It does take a while to reach that point, but just tax everyone to death to generate over 60 gold a month in about 40 years from the start date.

I'm aware of that. I probably should have stated that "major coastal provinces" includes Altdorf and the city to the southeast of it. And I don't often play as a character in the Imperial culture group and usually a follower of the "True" Grail religion as well, so I don't really deal with Urban Feudal vassals. I personally just try to have a large garrison in counties along the river Reik to prevent or at least delay raiders sieging down the holdings until I can get an army there.

Nothing we've discussed too much. There's probably some settings we could tie to it though, like magic miscast rates, or likely hood of mutation, etc.

If you ever put in End Times events, I'd suggest putting that as a setting (especially the actual end of the world).

We already have a basic one end of the world event in. We'd probably never turn something like that off, just make it more or less punishing.

Alright i'm on my 3. gen human vampire vassal. How do i become a vampire? Is it even possible besides risking your life, by seducing one? The "ask for the dark gift" intrigue option makes no sense. I'm vampiric, sylvanian, paranoid, ambitious and old as fuck, yet it's never triggering. I've heard that vampires sometimes turn their apprentices? But how do i ask for an apprenticeship?? i can only study necromancy by myself.

Nevermind. just had to study necromancy and a vampire bit me. fun times

Quick Question regarding the Doom Counter. Does this still work the same it used to, that at 100 its just game over? Cause for some unknown reason my Doom Counter went to 248 in the span of 20 years :eek:

The Doom Counter and the End-of-Game counter are two separate things.

Alright, just went by what one of the event-files said which specifies the Doom Counter being at 100 being an automatic game over so i was a bit freaked out over it climbing that fast. Rather not have the game end on me within the first 20 years

So, where do I have to poke to disable the end-of-game counter?
Also, will doing so horribly break something?

No offense, but you have ~500 years until that Counter hits. I daresay that nobody reached it yet.
Other than that, no idea where to check.

Doesn't the End Times Counter increase faster if the Doom Counter is high? If that's the case, you're going to have some issues A-D.
Other than that, no idea where to check.
I just looked, you need to find the event doomengine.1005 in the BR_chaos_events file and remove this block of text:
Code:
            if = { limit = { check_variable = { which = "endtimes_counter" value = 50 } }
                narrative_event = { id = doomengine.1006 }
                }
Unless something's changed in the last version or two with that file and the event was changed, (I found this mod in November or December and never updated, all I know is it's a version made after Horse Lords) this will prevent the End Times Counter from doing anything since it's event doomengine.1006 that causes the game over. Removing the entire event will remove the End Times Counter completely. I'll download the current version of the mod to check that this still applies however.
Edit: I just looked and this event is unchanged in the current version, so the solution is currently valid.

Well as far as the direct values are concerned for doom counter and endtime counters, i can simply lower them via savegame editing. I was really just suprised by how quickly it rose to such a level in roughly 20 years of gameplay when i had much more involved, long-term games before where it stuck around at "weak winds". Well that and i hadnt gotten a game over yet despite one file saying that 100 is the game over when clearly i went way beyond that. I think being a Chaos Cultist, declaring yourself openly and winning the resulting war may have something to do with it.

Case in point, im still treated as a cultist despite not really being very secretive about it anymore, flags havent been cleared, options havent been taken away, which leads me to believe someone actually intended for cultist rebellions to be doomed to fail regardless, hence not actually bothering to actually do the clean-up afterwards.

I am quite familliar with Warhammer lore, but every once in a while I find myself unable to find characters that are present in the mod in actual lore. Mind you, I'm not talking about some randomly generated courtiers, but rather unique characters. So could please anyone point me to some lore about all 5 Chaos characters from Realms of Chaos bookmark if such lore exists?
