Combat rating isn't used in the mod, and likely will never be.

That said, we did try to represent your duel compatibility in the actual duel system with it for a while, but that didn't really catch on.
And yes, the Fighter-traits do actually still influence duels. But there is no actual way to get them, therefore this is moot. :p

What relevant traits do you think are missing?

Magic does nothing for duels ATM.

Combat rating isn't used in the mod, and likely will never be.

I'd say any trait that gives a combat skill bonus (example duelist) and any that by name or concept imply enhanced combat abilities (example strong) are relevant, and most of them are missing. They do influence it through martial oc, but so does every trait included in the code aswell. Also, the chaos undevided champ, chosen and everchosen seem to be missing (or are they represented by the chaos knight trait?).

Note, I'm not arguing more traits should be included, I simply asked to get my bearings on how the duel engine works. Like most ppl i thought it used the personal combat skill stat.

:)

So what races would you kind of advise against taking up for the moment?

Beastmen seem obvious, Dwarves unless it changed real recently I kept seeing are still in placeholder-y states, any other particularly noteworthy ones though?

Anyone in the Chaos Wastes because they are hell.
If you like to blob don't go for anything in Lustria except the Generalless if you want a really really really really brutal challenge.
Elves of all variety are also somewhat anti-bloby. Well the Druchii can be bloby if played a certain way so they are the exception.
Vampires of all varieties are awesome to play as although the Lahmians have some clunky mechanics. Ignore the clunky mechanics though and conquer the world with free troops and cash. I am in no way biased towards Lahmians because they are my longest game in CK2 ever. Nope not at all.
Green skins are fun but I have an annoying tendency to have all my heirs being killed by me and then dying and the game ending much to my frustration.
Empire and Norscans are fun to play as in a more traditional sense.
Haven't tried Araby, Bretonnia, Kislev, or Cathay colony so no real clue on those.

That one tribe of night goblins starts as a shaman with no nearby orks. So if you get a bunch of money from raiding which you should totaly do you can build some magical gear which is really really helpful in duels. Duels happen a lot as a green skin so this is a massive boon. It adds for an interesting goblin play position if you feel like trying them ever which isn't super recommended because your troops are awful. Still is fun though.

That is my random blabbing on play excitement I have had.

Lahmians are fun. I have a vain hope that they'll be updated someday(because Neferata is one of my favorites due to her backstory being rather interesting). :p

Anyway on to questions: Are all the runefangs implemented? Is that imperial hammer I keep hearing about implemented as well? I can't remember its name though.

Ghal maraz is implemented, yes. You will get it by event once you've become Emperor. As for the runefangs yes, they are all in there but at the start date you will only find 10 of them as the last two are part of the imperial treasury. Once you rule the Empire you will get two unique minor titles (Reiksmarshal and Champion) that you can give to anyone and they will be granted one of the two runefangs but beware, they can be stolen if the character wielding them is imprisoned

Does it matter who gets ahold of the imperial title or is it government based?

Meet my heir, he's the oldest child of my trio of mage concubines and he came out with 23 learning, so that I could transition into a mage character and eventually become Tzeentchian either through event, or through one of the many female Tzeentchians I kidnapped just so happened to have hanging out in my court, but there's one potential problem.
BegEC4n.png

He can't get married for some reason I can't determine. Even when he was a kid he couldn't get betrothed for some even though his siblings could. I figured it would fix itself when he reached maturity, but no he still cannot. I even tried killing myself so I could control him directly and still cannot get married, I can take concubines, but I can't get the state bonuses for having a wife.

Hey. How can I send my children away to these universities I'm hearing about? I'm playing as the Graf of Ostermark.
If you meet the requirements then you can right click on the portait of the adult child that you want to send and there should be an option in the menu that pops up to send it to a univeristy.
