Been burning through all the dev diaries catching up in time for release, and had a question about something, but please correct me if this has been asked/answered before. Looking thru 9th diary the very last screenshot (posted below) caught my eye.

As the dev said it's a small business district surrounded by a park. That's a pretty long park and it goes all the way around the block it looks like. So is that a custom park made in the Asset Manager and then imported? (so it would really be THAT large to plop down, and then you build around it) Or is this just pedistrain pathways with some trees around them? If the latter, would it still have the same affect on land value/happiness as a normal pre-made park? Or can we actually "zone"/paint an area as a "park" kinda like the districts tool?

Either way it looks great, and I can't wait to do it myself!

Thanks in advance!

It's awesome how on this picture you can feel the city beind big and alive. I love it personally, the only thing that I can't wait for is the see more building designs, but that will happen, so I do not mind it! I just hope to be good enough to build like that :p

I agree, also the right side of the picture, where the ped path meets the road, that very large but short building kinda looks like an office campus, but it's the length of like 3-4 of the "normal" small office buildings in the middle. Not to mention the HUGE massive square building not far from that flat one. Aka it all looks cool, and I loving the variety as well as scale. (there are some other very large (height and width-wise) buildings in the pic slight off center and to the left).

I'm still trying to figure out what the huge buildings are, and what purpose they serve. Wonders, maybe? They should do a dev diary on this.

I have watched nearly every bit of video posted about this game and I honestly think that zoned skyscrapers are going to be much smaller than people anticipate them being. However, this is something that will fixed by mods extremely quickly. Maybe even on release day.

Ploppable skyscrapers though I think will be properly large.

Can they be trail parks like in real life? And you dont need to plop it down, just a pedestrian dirt small road and trees and the agents will start to use it as a walking trail? And having policy for the trail so is it just walking or riding or horse riding, etc?

Some people don't realize just how powerful Duct Tape really is.
Yes, but it also makes what you're fixing look ugly.

(If you've heard this before, sorry.)

A man only needs two things in his tool box: duct tape and WD-40.
If it moves and it shouldn't- duct tape it.
If it doesn't move and should- WD-40 it.

Do agents use these parks, walk to them, enjoy them, etc? One thing I dislike about SC4 is you can create these beautiful areas but people don't really use them. Sure they add to an overriding happiness "stat" but you don't really see people using them except for the odd fake animation.

In SC2013, they did and I am sure I have seen screenies and video's of them doing so in C:S
