i almost bought the game, i was ready to go out when i decided to read a review first.

thats when i found out there was no skirmish/freestyle mode. that right there made me turn away from the game.

i played majesty 1, one of my favorite games ever. i easily spent hundreds of hours in that game over many many years.

the campaign was a 1 time thing. and the multiplayer didnt work out well for me the few times i tried.

what kept me playing was the freestyle mode where i could change which buildings to start with, how much money, what monsters there are, etc. thats where the hundreds of hours came from

and to be honest, every strategy game for me, whether its warcraft3, starcraft, company of heroes, or civilization IV, all the fun came from the freestyle/skirmish modes, not the campaign.

there was just so much replay value there that without any freestyle/skirmish mode in majesty 2, i dont see how it is a proper sequel.

i know there are lots of threads talking about this already, but i just wanted to point out where 99% of the fun came from in the original majesty for me (and a few other players out there).

however, since the multiplayer is working well with this version, i suppose that will offer a lot of replay value. but i still believe a skirmish/freestyle mode should be added asap some how.

i say this all with lots of respect for everyone involved making this game. i know its not easy and it takes lots of time and money. i don't want to sound rude with what i said because i know everyone put lots of hard work into this game.
