Quick Exit to Desktop Option?

Not that I would ever play at work, but if I did, is there a quicker way to get back to the desktop other then the normal save and surrender?

Alt/Tab will switch to other applications - but depends on your operating system of course.

Please note that I know about this but NEVER use it as I do not play at work,....... ever......... No really I don't........ Oh!, OK I use it to switch between this page, EU and Microsoft Outlook when the boss comes around!.

Alt-tab switches to desktop but doesn't terminate the game. Can you just do that and then kill the process? Does alt-f4 work within the game? Anyone tried either?

Yes. I do it every time. I hate the waiting time... CTRL-ALT-DEL on 98 and you're out.

It's not only those playing at the office that need a quick exit. But in any case it seems odd to have to "surrender" when the world is almost at your feet but you need to return to reality.
