If I hold a king title and dutchies are drifitng toward it (I don't hold the title for the kingdom that originally held them) will either of the following stop the drift:

1. I inherit a second unrelated king title (e.g., I am king of Ireland and a Welsch dutchy is drifting to me, but I am now also king of Sweden).

2. I choose to form a Empire (Britannia).
Thanks.

Drift ocurss when the active crown laws are the ones of your primary title. If you are king of Ireland and hold k_scotland... Irish de jure will not expand into scotland.. but if you do not own k_scotland... the land you own in scotland will drift... ince you own the original de jure title, drift will stop.. unless you destroy the k_scotland title.

Same applyes for empires... if you are the emperor of britannia, and you own k-france.. as long as k_france is created it will not drift to your empire (This is broken, kingdoms should drift into empires) So.. in my game i am e_scandinavia and destroyed k_france titile and now all france de jure is drifiting towards my empire, but where kingdoms are created, it does not drift.

No, and yes, in that order.

Or more specifically, you need the FULL Kingdom to drift into your empire; there can be no de jure drift of a duchy into a Kingly Crown you yourself hodl

Weird, this is different than I thought from reading earlier posts on de jure drift. I had thought that dutchies drifted toward kingdoms and kingdoms toward empires.

So is what you are saying is that if I am Emperor Britannia and King of Ireland, an English dutchie will drift toward the Emporer title? That doesn't seem right, but i gahter this mechanic and gotten revised a number of times.
