Is there any advantage to not selecting "press all claims" when declaring war on a character you have several claims on? If I won the war wouldn't I want as much territory as possible, rather than specific provinces?
You lose warscore for objectives you haven't taken.
Is this a bug or a feature:
I was playing as the count of Amiens. The duke of normandy declared himself independend from france and the king of france grant me a claim on the duke of normandy.
So there were 2 wars going on: Normandy and France (Independence) and Normandy vs. me (Claim).
I managed to capture about 50% of all the normandy provinces, but suddently the king made truce with normandy and I get a message, that I couldnt capture normandy.
I lost the war and all my provinces I conquered.
But I still have the claim open and I can declare the war again. But I'm very unhappy that I lost the war, because the king made peace with normandy.![]()
If your liege makes peace with your enemy the war will end inconclusively for you.
