I don't know if this is the right forum, but since this pertains to 2 games and the possibility of a trend in every game going forward I assume this is a good place to post it. If not, please move it to the correct forum.
When I saw that Imperator had a quirk of the debug mode being particularly obnoxious to access I didn't think much of it. Since it's also the case in CK3 I'm wondering if this fiddly stuff has become the new studio standard for how debug mode is going to be done going forward. Not only is it tedious to get started, there's no way to use it without covering your screen in debug info you could avoid seeing in previous games' debug modes and when you deactivate it you can't switch back to it without restarting the entire game.
So. Is this the new standard for titles going forward? If so, why?
