I just read the summary of tweaks, fixes, changes, etc for the 1.07 patch, and I have a few questions that I hope helpful members of the EU2 community can answer.
"Fire and shock bonuses to a leader have no effect when assaulting a fortress."
My first reaction was, "WTF?" Am I reading correctly that an army commanded by Napoleon will fight instead as an army commanded by Jacques Nobody when it assaults a fortress?
Thankfully, that was the only thing I read that made me feel a little incredulous.
"War exhaustion will slightly decrease even when at war, if there is no military action going on in the wars a nation is participating in. "
That begs the question -- will a completely inactive war generate any war exhaustion whatsoever?
"Sharing maps will never reveal uncolonised provinces. "
What about sea zones?
....And I think those are all of my questions for now. I haven't played a game yet with this patch, so I may develop more, but just reading the list of changes excites me for its potential. It looks like a lot of immense improvements were achieved, particularly in the field of cracking down on exploits.
