Hello to all! I am a veteran of approximately 40 single player GC's, but am new to this board. For the past two weeks or so, I have been navigating this site, and have found much valuable information concerning EUII. Prior to visiting here, I did not even know that the game could be modded; now, I am performing my own monarch, leader, and event mods. Thanks to everyone for posting so many interesting and informative articles.

I have a few questions on various topics:

1. How can I "discover" inland seas such as the Aral Sea or the American Great Lakes. This is probably a stupid question, but I've never been able to figure it out.

2. Is there any way to know exactly how many bad boy points that I have at any given time? Do I have to calculate the number myself, or is there a game function which records its for me?

3. I know that many people have created custom maps. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good Eurocentric map that can be used in "vanilla" EUII?

4. The other day, I stumbled across a great link to custom shields and flags that can be used in EUII. Now I cannot find the link. Could anyone direct me there?

Thanks in advance.

I dont think you can discover them, since there aren't port provs next to it, so, it's impossible to get ships in there

Hover your mouse over your diplomatic reputation, you'll see a couple of numbers: xx/yy, where xx is your actual BB rating and yy it's the limit when BB wars starts (when you're playing VeryHard)

the other two I leave them to the modding experts.....

and btw, Welcome to the forum Cross ;)

One other note to add: since you are new to the forums, it may be that your game has not been updated. If you are still playing an old version, especially version 1.00, several features are not implemented, for example the feature of seeing your badboy points by hovering the mouse over your diplomatic reputation. Check out the tech support forum for details to update your game if need be. Be cautious when you start to play, though, for the game is much, much different in many critical aspects.

The only way to discover them is to exchange maps with someone who knows them. Great Lakes is some native indian tribe, Aral some of the khanates. Aral could also be discovered by conquering a suitable capital, but as you don't gain any maps from pagan capitals, that is not an option in america.

If you don't like the white you can also give yourself knowledge of the "provinces" IDs. The great lakes are provinces 1369, 1370, 1371 and 1372.

This is a link to a thread that has compiled a huge list of custom flag and shield sites.

IIRC, you can discover the Great Lakes by running conquistadors around them constantly. You get VP points for their discovery.
