I wonder, if there is any way to increase chance of success when going on Pilgrimage to Hrothgar as a Nord. I managed to get all the way up to the Greybeards, but they always refused me, and I lost 100 piety everytime.

No, it is random; from a_pilgrimage.txt:I wonder, if there is any way to increase chance of success when going on Pilgrimage to Hrothgar as a Nord. I managed to get all the way up to the Greybeards, but they always refused me, and I lost 100 piety.

Perhaps there should be a cost involved, as I think the arbitrary frozen mountain path thing is rather irritating. As is random Greybeard refusal.
"SORRY BRO! YOU FAILED A DICE ROLL! NO GREYBEARD HOT CHOCOLATE FOR YOU!"
Perhaps instead, most of the dangers will be from frost trolls, ice wraiths, and the like. You could pay at the beginning of the trip to hire guards (increasing your chances of survival), or if your character has a rather badass profession (like master battlemage, master warrior, master barbarian, etc) and badass traits (brave, zealous, diligent, patient), they can tough it out themselves. Or you could do both and be pretty much guaranteed to get up there, though having a crap-ton of guards could reduce the piety reward. Whether or not the Greybeards refuse you should also depend on traits. Virtues like Temperate, Patient, Humble, Diligent, and what-not could increase your chances.
If you're the Dovahkiin, it should be possible to make the pilgrimage no matter what culture you are, because Dovahkiin. And because you're the goddamn Dragonborn, the Greybeards shouldn't refuse you. >_>
Just a few ideas. vOv
Would it be better to code for stats or for traits though? One would think that the former would be easier and not requiring updates as new traits are added while the latter would be more flexible and more easily relatable to individual characters. The only thing I really dislike re: the pilgrimage is that you ALWAYS turn back at the threat you meet, you have no chance of facing it with martial/etc (unless I'm mistaken, but I thought this was the case).
I don't think it matters, unfortunately. In Arumba's current Let's Play, he's playing a Master Barbarian Nord, and was still turned back. The only thing I really dislike re: the pilgrimage is that you ALWAYS turn back at the threat you meet, you have no chance of facing it with martial/etc (unless I'm mistaken, but I thought this was the case).
Because I didn't want to be known as the Aldmeri Dominion.
That's easily solved. The name changes based on the culture of the ruler- if you're a bosmer, you can rule over the "Bosmeri Dominion". The real difficulty I've run into is that the Kingdom of Alinor, which is always needed to form it, already exists and can never be usurped.
Cool, it changes in the game correct? Not with the customizer?
It can if the holder has no vassals/no land, though I usually prefer to take the land assasinate the holder and then make all of the titular kingdoms, finally using the decision to recreate the title for the greatest prestige boost. Why can't a High Kingdom be usurped? I swear I've done it before...
In any case, just get yourself a Warlord and take it all in one fell swoop.
Given the changes being made in Rajas of India, is it likely that Daedric religion will be handled akin to the way they're representing Hinduism there, as one faith with patron gods etc rather than as a variety of totally different faiths, or is the current system set in stone?
