Hello everyone. I have a problem and three unrelated questions. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm playing Nationalist China in a conquer the world type game. I conquered all along the SU's southern border and then invaded them when they were busy with the Germans. I've advanced up through the caucasus and cut the German advance off in Finland, because I want to take the SU for myself. Unfortunately the Bitter Peace event fired, but that's ok. I didn't lose too much potential territory to the Germans and I plan to make war with the Germans eventually, anyway, so I'll get the Soviet concessions to Germany for myself later.

The real problem is that the Germans legally own all the territory that I wanted, from Leningrad through western Russia and down to the caucasus (oil fields!). I'm in control of it but, since they legally own it, when they create their Reichskommissariat Ukraine, for some reason control is given to the new German puppet. How do I retain control of these areas? I tried diplomatically claiming them. Didn't make a difference. The Germans still created their puppet and the puppet robs me of the land automatically when created. I've considered not allowing the bitter peace event to fire but that would mean doing some gimmicky stuff to avoid taking Moscow (I think Moscow being lost is required for the event to fire?) and I'd really rather not lose months of work invading the SU. If there is no other way and I have to prevent the Bitter Peace from firing, could someone clarify for me if I can avoid it by leaving Moscow in Soviet hands?

Now for the questions. My TC is absolutely crippled by "Fuel And Supply Transportation" which is at 732 points. What is this representing? How do I lower the burden of this? There's also "Occupied Territory Maintenance" which I can infer the meaning of, but it would nice if someone had a clear explanation of this one too. To be clear, I'm asking what causes the burden of fuel and supply transportation in TC. I know I can increase TC by IC and TC modifiers.

Third question. Is it possible to build a large depot of supplies on an island, or is it only possible to allocate a maintenance distribution of supplies relative to what's required by your troops there? I'd like to build a 1000 strong depot of supplies and oil on Taiwan, but when I assign more convoys, they don't ship more supplies.

Again, thanks in advance for any help. I'm still enjoying Darkest hour even when I run into problems like this. :)

First question, sounds like you need to edit the conditions of the Bitter Peace event in the events so it does not fire. You will probably want to revert them when you are done with the China campaign, however.

Second question, I believe the maintenance is referring to territories you have occupied but not legally own yet. The way to increase TC is by building more IC, researching the Logistics tech, appointing the Guns and Butter chief of the army minister if any is available and avoid using divisions that stress the TC (those would be armoured and mechanised divisions) by a lot.

Third question, the needed supplies are automatically generated as soon as possible and exactly how many you need (as long as you can meet the supply stockpile requirements and convoys as well as securing the convoy efficiency, you should never be in any supply trouble). You cannot make your own depots, that's something present in Arsenal of Democracy but not Darkest Hour.
