Questions about the installation.

Hello! I've just purchased DH from Gamersgate. 2 problems...

1 I've run the Gamersgate application to install, but the game does'nt lunch.

An error says "To run this application you first must install one of the following version of the .NET Framework:
v2.0.50727
Contact your application publisher for instruction about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET Framework"

What should I do? What's the problem?
I've looked in the FAQ, but I haven't understood how to solve the problem...

2 I've dl the game from this pc ( a laptop), where i have the internet. But I would run it on my other (better screen and audio). Once you dl the game on one pc, you could not install it on another pc?
I have 2 files: 1) The gamersgate downloader 2) "gamersgate temporary files", where there's the "Launch" file, that I dont know how to run....

AFAIK .NET Framework is required only for the Launcher. You should be able to run the game using directly Darkest Hour.exe.

You should get .NET Framework (it can be downloaded for free from Microsoft or via Windows Update) in order to use the Launcher.

.NET is indeed needed to run the launcher. Your best bet would be to use Windows Update but if for some reason it doesn't work, downloading it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...cb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en should do the trick.

I didn't try to install games downloaded from GG on other computers lately. According to their faq (www.gamersgate.com/info/faq) it's possible BUT it seems that the Internet connection is necessary at least at the moment of installation:

Can i download a game on one computer and install it on another one?

Yes, you can.

•1) Copy the download file and the temp folder as they are located near each other
•2) Paste on another computer that has connection to the internet
•3) Run the download file and fill in the login/password if necessary
•4) The installation process will start automatically, if the temporary folder is in place, since it will find the install files.
NOTE: Internet connection is required for performing the installation process. Installation cannot be made manually. It is done automatically and it requires internet connection to be performed properly.

As I remember, one of the files is an EXE file, so you should be able to run it. If it fails, you may install the game on your laptop, then move the game's directory to another computer. I'm not sure if the updates will work (the version is written in the Windows Registry), at least the launcher's automatic update check surely won't work, but otherwise it will be OK.
